5553 | Ceres Royal Brown Ale | Denmark | Brown Ale | 3.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 330 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. ABV is 4.6%. Brown colour, big to moderate cream-coloured head. Sweetish malty aroma, notes of toffee, caramel and marmalade. The flavour is moderately malty and nutty with "dusty" notes, hints of caramel and brown bread, but it is not very sweet. Very moderate hops, not much of an aftertaste. Fairly boring, but otherwise not unpleasant to drink. |

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 12 fl. oz. bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV not mentioned on the label. Hazy straw coloured beer, big to low white head. Typical witbier aroma of coriander and Curacao orange peel, also notes of cloves. The flavour has moderate notes of coriander and cloves, but the usual witbier citric notes are not coming through as strongly as desired. Bland finish. |

5559 | Christoffel Dry Hopped Nobel | Netherlands | Imperial Pilsener | 3.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 330 ml swingtop bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. Dry hopped, unfiltered, unpasteurised, bottom fermented, classic open fermentation. ABV is 8.7%. Very pale yellow beer, huge white head. Strong aroma of floral and herbal European hops, notes of grass and alcohol too. The flavour is sweet, hoppy and quite alcoholic. Strong and sweet pale lagers rarely "go home" with me, and this one is no exception, even though it is much better than its more industrial counterparts. |

5560 | Carlsberg Semper Ardens Easter Brew | Denmark | Bock | 3.1
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 660 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. ABV is 6.5%. Allegedly a Carlsberg recipe from 1907. Hops are Spalt and Saaz. Beautiful amber to copper colour, big off-white head with an orangey hue. Flavour of over-boiled vegetables, baby porridge and caramel. The flavour has notes of malts and caramel, but is not too sweet. As the beer warms up a little, a very moderate fruitiness comes through. However, the amount of hops used is far too moderate to make this a really great drinking experience. The beer is drinkable though, but I expect more from a Semper Ardens brew. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 On tap at the Faroe Islands tent at the ONS fair, Stavanger. Golden colour, moderate creamy white head. 5565 | Leikeim Original Landbier | Germany | Kellerbier | 3.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml swingtop bottle, bought at Rewe Getränkemarkt, Erding. ABV is 5.4%. Crystal clear (filtered?) pale yellow colour, big to moderate white head. Very moderate carbonation in the glass and mouth. Aroma of grassy hops. The flavour has some malty sweetness, some grassiness and a substantial hoppy bitterness, while the alcohol shows an unexpected presence for a 5.4% beer. God knows what makes this a Landbier - it looks and tastes more like a filtered Dortmunder Export to me. Anyway, drinkable it is. |

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 250 ml bottle, from Matkroken Stokka. BB date 02.01.2015. ABV is 4.5%. I expected something bright red, but the colour is peachy to orange-brownish. Large off-white head. Strong sweetish aroma of ripe and over-ripe raspberries. Fruity flavour, sweet, but not as much as I feared. Raspberries and other undefined ripe fruits. Hardly any bitterness. |

5571 | Bockor Omer. Traditional Blond | Belgium | Abbey Tripel | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 330 ml bottle, as Omer. Traditional Blond, BB date 30.12.2014, brewed by Brouwerij Bockor NV, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8%. Nearly clear golden colour, large to moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of white kandij sugar syrup, mild spices and fruity hops, also less pleasant notes of cheap perfume and soap. 5573 | Benediktiner Weissbier (Lich) | Germany | Witbier | 3.1
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark, probably at Voldby Købmandsgaard. ABV is 5.4%. BB date 20.07.13. Hazy orange colour, large white head. Smells a bit "off", sweetish notes of malts and caramel, only hints of banana and cloves. The flavour is somewhat better, malty character, not too sweet, but again the typical hefeweizen notes of "banana & cloves" are very subdued. Lacks some of the "freshness" of a better hefeweizen, Might buy a fresher bottle at another occasion, to re-rate. |

Aroma of yeast, wort, boiled rice, stale orange marmalade. Slightly sweet flavour, yeasty and fruity, hints of grain and rice, somewhat better than the aroma. Moderate bitterness in the finish. Heaven knows what makes this a "saison". |
