5351 | Mackeson Stout | United Kingdom | Stout | 3.1
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6 (275 ml bottle.) Very dark/black, good tan head. Aroma is malts and coffee, flavour is sweet and malty with coffee and chocolate notes, hardly any bitterness. This beer proves that a low ABV beer can be flavourful, but it's just too sweet to be a favourite of mine. |

5353 | Aass Genuine Pilsner | Norway | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 In Norway it's only 4.5% ABV. Regarded as an average pils here, but it's actually quite clean tasting and decent as far as Norwegian pilseners go. Crisp, refreshing. The somewhat stronger export version is of course more powerful and probably slightly better. |

5355 | Asia Pacific Tiger Beer | Singapore | Pale Lager | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 For an Asian pale lager, this is not too bad. Far more flavour than e.g. Thailand's Singha. I've never been to Singapore, but can imagine Tiger Beer would be great in the the tropical heat there. So leave the Singapore Gin Sling for the chicks - be a Tiger! |

5356 | Tinkoff Temnoe (Porter) | Russia | Dunkel / Dark Lager | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 (330 ml bottle, bought in Denmark.) Forget that they call this a porter - this is a dunkel, and as such middle of the road, if I’m being kind. Copper colour, moderate head, weak malty aroma, flavour is smooth and easily drinkable, malty sweet with next to none bitterness. There are better German (and Norwegian!) dunkels around - no need to export this from Russia. |

5359 | Thisted Thy Økologisk Humle | Denmark | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 Rerate, 500 ml bottle, new label, from NETTO, Denmark. ABV is still 5.8%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Half-decent hoppy aroma, grassy and herbal notes. I don’t find the flavour too bitter any more, the bitterness is balanced by a more pronounced sweetness than I remembered. Still, this is just another pilsener (only with organic ingredients), not bad, but not really remarkable either. Original rating, on tap and 330 ml bottle, in Denmark: Too bitter for my taste (= too light bodied for the hops). Try Thy Økologisk Pilsner in stead. They are both organic beers, a niche that seems to have been successful for Thisted Bryghus. |

5360 | San Miguel Especial | Spain | Pale Lager | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 This one (5.4% ABV) is far better than their 4.5% version Premium Lager, The 5.4% version is quite malty, with a barely sufficient hoppiness. An acceptable premium lager, not great but well worth having with (or without) a meal in Spain. This rating is based on a bottle bought in Norway, had travelled well. |

5362 | Karjala III | Finland | Pale Lager | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 (On tap at Helsinki Airport). An ordinary golden pilsener with a low head, good hoppy (Saaz?) aroma. Light bodied, easily drinkable. You could down a few of these on a midsummer’s day/night. Not unpleasant in any way (= not too much character either). Moderate bitterness in the aftertaste. |

5363 | Reissdorf Kolsch Ale | Germany | Kölsch | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, at the foreign beer bar of the 32nd Cambridge Beer Festival. (Was also available on draught there, but not when I decided to sample it.) This was my first Kölsch ever, as far as I can remember. Moderate head, yellow colour. Looks like a pilsener or a helles, smells like a decent pilsener: grass, hints of tropical fruits. Flavour nearly like a decent helles or one of the better pale lagers, but a slight yeastiness betrays its origin. Decent, but did not impress me. |

5365 | Fuller's Discovery Blonde | United Kingdom | Blonde Ale | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 Cask conditioned at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. Fullers have finally "discovered" that golden ales have been in demand for a number of years. This is their attempt at this style. Golden colour, low head. Moderate hops in aroma and flavour, but nothing special here. Disappointing. Rerate, 330 ml brown bottle, from Maxi Stormarked, Sandnes. ABV is 4.2%. Golden colour, moderate head. Moderate fruity hops in the aroma, some notes of toffee and buttered toast too. The flavour has moderate malts and fruity hops (hints of oranges), with just a very moderate bitterness in the finish. Nothing wrong with it, but doesn’t blow your socks off. |

5371 | Lindesnes LB Bølgetoppen Pale Ale | Norway | American Pale Ale | 3.1
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 August 2020: 330 ml bottle, batch L33, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Deep golden to orange colour, enormous white head, apparently overcarbonated, takes "forever" to settle. Aroma of dust, grain and some fruity and piney hops. Good malt body for a beer of this ABV. Hoppy flavour with a resinous and grapefruity bitterness, notes of yeast too. |
