5276 | Storm Bronze Ale (Red Dawn) | Indonesia | Brown Ale | 3.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 330 ml bottle, in Bali, as Storm (Beer) Bronze Ale. ABV is 5%. I bought two bottles with slightly different labels and barcodes, but it was said to be the same beer, the brewery is just in the process of changing labels. Bronze colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma, some malts and caramel, a hint of spruce. Medium dry flavour, light bodied, a hint of caramel, some bitterness in the finish. Not impressive. |

5277 | LoverBeer Madamin | Italy | Wild Ale | 3.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 On tap at HaandBryggeriet Beer Festival, Drammen. Brownish red (more than reddish brown) colour, moderate off-white head. Fruity, oaky and vinous aroma, slightly acidic. (According to the brewer, no grapes nor any other fruit has been added to the beer, but it has fermented and matured in oak barrels previously used for their grape-infused beers), The flavour is oaky, fruity and slightly acidic / vinegary, but lacks a hoppy counterpoint, and there is not much malty sweetness either. |

5278 | Alvinne Morpheus Wild Undressed Monbazillac (Barrel Aged) | Belgium | Wild Ale | 3.2
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 At HaandBryggeriet Beer Festival, Drammen. Very dark brown colour, cloudy. No head nor carbonation. The aroma has notes of red wine, red wine vinegar and oak. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, distinct acidity but not extreme. Quite tasty, but to be honest I’d probably prefer this as a salad dressing rather than a drinking beer. |

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml clear bottle, as Belhaven Black Scottish Stout, from a potential importer. ABV is 4.2%. Very dark ruby to mahogany colour, moderate beige head. Weak aroma but not unpleasant, hints of fruit and weak coffee. Fizzy mouthfeel, light bodied. The medium dry flavour has mild roasty notes, mild coffee and grain. Again: not unpleasant, but too little of everything. The 7% Scottish Stout is far better. |

5294 | Amager Amager Fælled | Denmark | Blonde Ale | 3.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, batch #747, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Slightly hazy golden colour, low white head. Strong sweetish aroma of new-mown grass, flowers and honey. Refreshing flavour, not too sweet, with moderate floral (elderflowers) and citrussy notes, subtle hops, hints of honey, low bitterness. I know this is not intended to be a very hoppy beer, but a little more bittering hops would not hurt. |

5300 | Inderøy Gildets Mjød | Norway | Mead | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml shared bottle, at "Onsdag i Annen", Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. So far not available in the pub’s ordinary selection. ABV is 10%. Fairly pale and slightly milky colour, moderate carbonation. Aroma and flavour have notes of honey, like any mead should, but this is still the driest mead I’ve had. Distinct herbal and spicy notes in both aroma and flavour. Mouthfeel reminiscent of rough cider. Alcohol is evident. The relatively dry character makes this mead more drinkable than the intensely sweet and uncarbonated ones, but I’d still prefer to share the bottle with one other person. |
