5176 Val de Rance Cidre de Bretagne Bouché Brut France Cider 3.2

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6

750 ml "champagne" bottle, as Valderance Cidre de Bretagne Bouché Brut, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 5%. Like all ciders from this cidery it is made of 100% pure juice from cider apples. Contains sulphites. Golden colour. Pours very fizzy with a very short-lived white head. Moderate to low carbonation in the glass. Nice aroma of oxidised cider apples, farmhouse kitchen, sulphur and oak. The flavour has again notes of oxidised cider apples, with a relatively low acidity, fairly dry, slightly tart and woody in the finish. Easy drinking.

5177 Ekspedisjonen Kvit Harding Norway Hefeweizen 3.2

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy pale golden colour, moderate white head. Nice aroma of cloves and bananas. The flavour has also notes of cloves and bananas, but could use a bit more citrussy freshness. I drank it a tad too warm though.

5179 Comte Louis de Lauriston Cidre Brut de Normandie France Cider 3.2

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6

750 ml "champagne" bottle, as "Comte Louis de Lauriston Cidre Brut de Normandie", from Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget. Christian Drouin is not mentioned on the label, but I assume he is the distributor. ABV is 4.8%. Golden colour, pours very fizzy with a huge but short-lived white head. Strong aroma of oxidised cider apples and sulphites. The flavour is medium sweet with notes of cider apples and sulphites. Slightly astringent finish. Nice enough to drink.

5180 Løkken Witbier Denmark Witbier 3.2

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. ABV is 4.5%. Cloudy golden colour, big to moderate white head. Moderate wheaty aroma, hints of citrus. The flavour is fairly malty for a wit, with very moderate hops and a hint of citrus, but I don’t think any coriander has been used here. There’s a hint of "traditional homebrew" (maybe a slight infection?) in the finish. Drinkable, but certainly not the best witbier around.

Spicy and herbal aroma, hints of flowers and honey too. The flavour is fairly sweet and malty with caramel and moderate hops, hints of honey, the alcohol is noticeable. Lacks the crisp freshness of the Hildegarde Blonde.

5182 Randers Classic Denmark Vienna / Amber Lager 3.2

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

500 ml bottle, from Superbrugsen, Skødstrup. ABV is 6.0%. Unfiltered and unpasteurised. Hazy deep golden colour, big white head. Aroma of herbal and grassy hops, hints of caramel malts. The flavour is maltier, a little sweeter and a bit more alcoholic than a standard Danish Classic, more like a Maibock. Noticeable hops throughout. Not too bad.

500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. ABV is 4.6%. Clear brown colour, big off-white head. Fairly nice aroma of toffee, caramel and biscuits. The flavour has also toffee and biscuit notes, not very sweet. Minimal hops, not very exciting, even for a brown ale.

On tap at the Brauerei-Gasthof zur Post, Erding, as Fischer Helles. Crystal clear golden / yellow colour, moderate white head. High level of carbonation in the glass. Moderate aroma of light malts, a hint of grassy hops. The flavour is nice and refreshing, with more distinct hops than expected from an industrial helles, quite good actually.

The flavour has some weak toffee and caramel notes, followed by a fairly distinct bitterness, but is not particularly complex. Still a drinkable "ordinary" bitter.
