On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Hazy ancient pink to red colour, small off-white head. Aroma of redcurrants, over-ripe raspberries and blackcurrants, also lactic acid. Fairly refreshing flavour of said berries, also tropical fruits, some lactic acid, a hint of salt.

Piney and resinous bitter flavour, medium dry, also notes of grapefruit. Medicinal in the aftertaste. Not perfectly balanced.

440 ml can, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%, IBU 60. Brewed for BrewCity GmbH, Berlin, by FuerstWiacek GmbH, Berlin. Slightly hazy pale golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of citrus, hints of tropical fruits and spruce, a less pleasant hint of sweat. Citric mouthfeel and flavour, bitter finish. One-dimensional, but not bad.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.5%. Murky brownish-golden colour, large white head. Sweetish aroma of malts, wort, banana and cloves. Fizzy, watery and slightly citric mouthfeel. Grainy flavour, also notes of banana and cloves. Drinkable, but the Germans do it better.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Sauda. Nearly clear golden colour, large white head. Aroma of malts and sweat, hints of citrus and tropical fruits. Malty and fruity flavour, notes of melon, a hint of some undefined sidenotes, not bad, but not quite "up there" with the best Salikatt ales. A moderate bitterness in the aftertaste.

Sep. 2017: 500 ml bottle in cardboard case, as Innis & Gunn Latitude & Longitude Series 001 Raspberry Barrel Aged Saison, at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6%. Clear golden colour, large to moderate white head. High level of carbonation. Nice aroma of spicy saison yeast and raspberries, hints of oak. The flavour is a bit too sweet for my taste, distinct caramel, again with notes of spicy saison yeast, oak and raspberries, herbal bittering hops in the finish.

Jan. 2015: 330 ml clear bottle in cardboard box, from Vinmonopolet. BB July 2014. ABV is 8.3%. Cloudy reddish amber colour, pours fizzy with a small short-lived head, slightly off-white. Sweetish aroma with notes of caramel, raisins and dark dried fruits, notes of "oak" (cherrywood, of course). Sweet flavour, too sweet maybe, loads of caramel, maple syrup and dark dried fruits, also cherrywood, minimal hops. Okay, but probably not something I would buy again.

Nov. 2019: 500 ml bottle, from Helgø Meny Tasta Senter. ABV is 4.7%, 11 IBU. Golden colour, moderate white head. Nice aroma of fruity hops, tropical fruits and citrus. Tropical fruits and citrus in the flavour too, but the bitterness is too low.

500 ml bottle, batch #263, from Vinmonopolet Egersund. ABV is 11%. Black colour, small tan head. Aroma of roast malts, chocolate, raspberries and raspberry drops. The flavour has the same elements, but is not quite as sweet as I feared. Won't buy again though.

Cask conditioned at The Lord Rosebery, as Everards Sunchaser Blonde. My notes of the ABV say 4.0%. Very pale blonde colour, moderate head, nice lacing. Moderate lemony aroma. Very light bodied, thin mouthfeel. Very moderate lemony flavour, slightly acidic.

330 ml green bottle. Copper coloured beer, large off-white head with an orange hue. Moderate aroma of malts, caramel and some "dusty" hops. Hints of artificial candy and cooked vegetables. Moderate carbonation, soft mouthfeel. The flavour has some fruitiness and a considerable sweetness, notes of caramel, grit and cooked vegetables. Very moderate hops in the finish. Nice try, but not impressive.

500 ml clear bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 7.5%. No sediment in the bottle. The cider is clear amber coloured. Pours rather fizzy with a very short-lived head. Very nice aroma of cider apples and oak, hints of leather and spices. Very dry flavour which leads to a surprisingly "watery" mouthfeel, despite a respectable ABV of 7.5%. There is a moderate acidity in the first sip, and a moderately astringent finish. Easy drinking.

On tap in a beach bar in Jurmala, Latvia. Golden colour, moderate head. Distinctly malty aroma and flavour with notes of butterscotch (diacetyl). Moderate hops in the finish.

Sampled bottle, RBNAG 2007 in Grimstad. Deep golden to amber colour. Unusual aroma of dusty attic, caramel malts and hops. Tolerably hoppy flavour, with some "unfresh" notes.

650 ml green glass bottle, entirely covered in very "christmasy" plastic foil. Courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Also available in Norway at Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget. ABV is 5.8%. Clear and deep golden colour, large and lasting head. Fruity and spicy aroma with notes of farm kitchen, quite nice. The flavour has some of the "spritziness" of other bières-de-garde, but is sweeter, with caramel. Artificial "aroma" (whatever that may be) has been added, hmmm ... That is probably what I get some candy / pear drops notes from. Moderate hops in the finish. Not your typical Christmas beer, but drinkable.
