4855 | Père Magloire Cidre Pays d´Auge | France | Cider | 3.3
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Shared large corked bottle, brought home from France by my son Steinar. ABV is 4.5%. Golden colour, pours very fizzy with a large but short-lived head. Strong aroma of cider apples and oak, hints of sulphites. Moderate carbonation in the glass. Medium sweet flavour of cider apples and eating apples, hints of oak and sulphites. Père Magloire may be best known internationally for their Calvados, but apparently they make decent ciders too. |

4856 | Kinn Manna | Norway | Mild Ale | 3.3
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 Cask at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Dark ruby colour, low off-white head. Roasty aroma, notes of cold coffee, hints of ashes. Dry flavour, notes of cold coffee and ashes again, the mouthfeel is rather thin. As the Biblical manna that God "miraculously" provided for the Israelites in the desert (actually a natural plant secretion, according to more recent research) was reported to be "sweet like honey", I expected Kinn Manna to be a somewhat sweeter and richer beer than this. Drinkable of course, but not Kinn’s most exciting offering. |

4857 | Atna Øl Rypeøl | Norway | Hefeweizen | 3.3
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, from distributor Strag. Also sampled at Ølfestivalen Nærbø. ABV is 4.7%. Some sediment in the bottle. Hazy brownish golden colour, moderate to low white head. Moderate aroma, some wood and citrus, a hint of cloves and dust. Moderate carbonation in the glass. Soft mouthfeel. Pleasant to drink, the refreshing flavour has some wheaty, citrussy, woody and bready notes. Tolerable hops. Tastes like a cross between a helles lager and a dunkelweizen. |

4858 | Hornbeer Sourhorn | Denmark | Wild Ale | 3.3
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6%. Reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Pleasant aroma of red wine, red wine vinegar, oak and farmhouse. The flavour is indeed sour, but not extreme. Notes of malts, red wine vinegar and oak - but unfortunately with a bit too much malty sweetness for my taste. The aftertaste is fairly dry though. |

Moderate aroma of mild coffee, Christmas spices and chilli, hints of chocolate, also some less pleasant sourish notes. The flavour is moderately roasty and sourish with some spicy notes, a slight chilli burn and some metallic hints in the finish and aftertaste. Not BrewDog’s best. Won’t buy again. |

4861 | Meantime Raspberry Grand Cru | United Kingdom | Fruit Beer | 3.3
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, as Meantime Raspberry Grand Cru, from Vinmonopolet Vika. ABV is 5.5%. Very cloudy peachy to brown colour, large to moderate off-white head with a peachy hue. The aroma has strong notes of ripe and over-ripe raspberries (no surprise). The flavour has also notes of raspberries, but not as much as some Belgian fruit beers, and is not overly sweet. Refreshing wheaty notes, hints of citrus. Nice enough to drink, but not worth the price. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 Shared bottle at local tasting, thanks to gunnar. Deep golden colour, large white head. Intense sweetish aroma with loads of crystal malts, slightly stale orange marmalade, and loads of American hops. Sweet flavour with insane amounts of American hops. Maybe not "overkill", but pretty close. |

4865 | Fournier Frères Poiré | France | Cider | 3.3

Very pale straw coloured, pours very fizzy with a large white head that soon disappears completely. Moderate aroma of sweet pears and drier perry pear varieties. The flavour is sweet and very fruity, pears of course, but also notes of sweet apples. A hint of oak and sulphites in the finish. Quite refreshing when cold. |

4866 | Balholm Økologisk Eplecider Tørr Stillcider | Norway | Cider | 3.3
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 750 ml clear screwcap bottle, vintage 2010, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 8.5%. This is a still cider from the first Norwegian cidery using primarily homegrown French and English cider apple varieties, not only sweet eating apples. Golden colour, no carbonation. Moderate but nice aroma of cider apples. Dry and nutty flavour of oxidised and bitter cider apples. Interesting, and better with food than on its own. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, many thanks to gunnar. ABV 4.7%. Black colour, large to moderate brown head - looks good, but retention could have been better. Strong roasty and woody dryish aroma, notes of coffee. The flavour is dry and roasty, coffee and woody notes again, fairly biiter finish. Woody aftertaste. Not the greatest porter in the world, but much better than the other beers I had from Lindesnes. |

4870 | Berentsens Skumrings Ale | Norway | Brown Ale | 3.3
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. A very dark brown ale with an off-white head. Aroma of lightly roasted malts and burnt caramel. Same elements in the flavour, but the beer is not sweet (I think I’d like a little more sweetness).. The hops are moderate, as in most brown ales. Clearly related to Rav Amber Ale from the same brewery, but darker, roastier and far less hoppy. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 330 ml bottle, as Storm Golden Ale, in Bali. ABV is 5%. Golden colour, slightly hazy, moderate white head. Aroma initially of cooked vegetables, then some nicer notes of tropical fruits come through. The flavour has moderate notes of Styrian Goldings hops, but not nearly as distinct as in the Pale Ale. Slightly yeasty finish. Like the other beers from this brewery it has a fizzy mouthfeel. Clearly drinkable, but not exciting. |
