Grainy and mildly spicy aroma. Medium dry and mildly spicy flavour, refreshing. Tolerable hops in the finish. Okay.

Nov. 2017: 750 ml corked & caged clear bottle, as Sassy Cidre L'Inimitable, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.2%. Deep golden colour, pours fizzy with a shortlived white head. Pleasant aroma of cider apples and dessert apples, hints of oak and sulphites. Slightly sweet flavour of apples, oak and sulphites.

April 2017: 355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 13%. Black colour, minimal tan head. Strong aroma of molasses, fusel, vanilla, whiskey and oak. Minimal carbonation. Rich and sweet flavour, notes of roast malts, sweetened coffee, molasses, chocolate, vanilla, whiskey and oak, hints of spices.

December 2018: On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Black colour, no head. Aroma of coffee and woodwork. Sweet flavour with loads of coffee, molasses, caramel, oak and vanilla.

375 ml green bottle, batch #3, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.5%. Hazy ancient pink colour, no head. Aroma of lactic acid and lemons, only a hint of beetroot and absinthe. Flavour with the same elements, medium sour, but the beetroot and absinthe / wormwood are more distinct now. Moderate bitterness. Quite interesting.

May 2017: 330 ml can, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 5.1%, IBU 30. Black colour, moderate beige head. Moderate roasty aroma, notes of cold coffee, hints of chocolate and cocoa. A moderate roastiness in the soft flavour, mid between sweet and dry. Hints of mild coffee and chocolate. Decent and definitely drinkable, but hardly a masterpiece.

330 ml can, at Tylstrup Kro, Denmark. Hazy yellow colour, moderate white head. Aroma and flavour of mango and other tropical fruits, a tad too sweet. The bitterness could with advantage be firmer, but this is not a bad beer as it is.

Feb. 2015: On tap at Billund Airport. Amber colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Very moderate aroma, just a hint of berries and earthy hops. Tolerably decent flavour, not much of an IPA, but may pass as a pale ale. Moderate fruity and earthy hops, hints of toffee. Nice enough to drink. 330 ml clear screwcap bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5%. Clear pale golden, pours moderately sparkling with a small and shortlived white head. Moderate aroma of Pink Lady dessert apples. Sweet flavour of said apples - Pink Lady is a popular eating apple, but probably not equally great as a single variety cider apple. Nice enough to drink, though.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 11.0%. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Distinct aroma of chocolate and cardamom, also some less pleasant hints of vomit. Sweet flavour of chocolate and cardamom, a hint of chocolate liqueur, moderate hops.

500 ml can, probably from Coop Extra, Tau. ABV is 4.7%. Nearly clear pale golden colour, large white head. Distinct aroma of citrus / orange peel and wheat, a hint of coriander seeds. Thin body. Moderate wheaty flavour with citrus and coriander, very moderate hops.

500 ml bottle, from Føtex Ebeltoft. ABV is 5.2%. Slightly hazy and very pale yellow colour, large white head. Aroma of lychee and other tropical fruits, hints of citrus. Nice citric flavour, also notes of tropical fruits, not too sweet, hardly any bitterness.

330 ml can, from BilkaToGo, Skalborg. ABV is 4.5%. Hazy yellow colour, huge white head. Aroma of floral, herbal and citric hops, notes of spruce too. Light bodied, as expected. The flavour is not too sweet, and has the same hoppy notes as the aroma.

440 ml can, as Kissmeyer Passion Pale Ale ("Nordic" is no longer part of the name), from BilkaToGo, Skalborg. ABV is 6.0%. Slightly hazy brownish-orange colour, moderate white head. Intense aroma of passionfruit, also notes of mango and other tropical fruits. Citric mouthfeel. Flavour of citrus and said fruits, noticeable and slightly metallic bittering hops in the finish.

Feb. 2016: 500 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. BB date 04.04.14. ABV is 4.2%. Golden colour, nearly clear. Moderate white head. Aroma of malts, dust, bread and some citrus. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is medium dry, and very drinkable due to a moderate citrussy fruitiness throughout. The malts reveal that the beer is not very fresh, but it is still decent enough. Moderate hops in the aftertaste.

Smooth mouthfeel and flavour. Notes of malts (but not too sweet), brown bread, caramel, dark fruits and berries. Moderate hops.

Nov. 2015: 330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 9.5%. Golden colour, nearly clear. Huge white head. Aroma of stale jam, Belgian ale yeast and mild spices. Fairly sweet and mildly spicy flavour. Nice enough to drink, but cannot compete with the best tripels like Westmalle and Karmeliet.

May 2016: 500 ml clear bottle, bought in London. ABV is 4.7%. Clear deep golden colour, large white head. Aroma of toffee and malts, hints of nuts. Smooth mouthfeel. The flavour has a moderate fruitiness which makes the beer very drinkable, again notes of toffee, malts and nuts. Some very moderate hops in the finish - would like some more hops, please.

July 2017: Cask from the wood, halfpint, at the SPBW 1st National Woodfest, Castleford. Deep golden to orange colour, white head. Nice aroma of citrussy hops. The flavour is fairly sweet, with distinct citrussy and piney hops. Bitter and woody finish.

April 2012: On tap at Schouskjelleren, Oslo. ABV was said to be 4.7%. Black colour, moderate beige head, nice lacing. Pleasant aroma of cranberries, hints of chocolate and mild coffee in the background. Fruity and moderately acidic flavour, cranberries of course, roasty notes (mild coffee). Fairly refreshing.
