Fairly rich mouthfeel. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, also a hint of oatmeal and a less pleasant hint of vomit, decent bitterness in the finish.

Cask, as Old Blackfriars Ale, in the Old Blackfriars pub (Belhaven) in Aberdeen. ABV is 3.9%. Copper colour, white (or slightly off-white) head. Nice malty aroma, notes of toffee. Malty flavour, toffee and nuts, some dark fruits in the background.

500 ml clear bottle, as Sandford Orchards Devon Mist Hazy Cider, despite not being hazy at all. Purchased at Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Pale and clear golden colour, pours moderately sparkling with a shortlived white head. Aroma of cider apples, a hint of sulphites. The flavour is mid between dry and sweet, notes of apples, a hint of sulphites.

Rerate, 500 ml bottle, as Nua Svart Jul Porter, vintage 2019, batch #137, from Vinmonopolet Lyngdal. ABV is 6.5%. Black colour, large beige head. Aroma of dark malts, chocolate and coffee, hints of aquavit spices. Slightly sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma. Very moderate hops. I'm upping the score quite a bit. Original rating: Shared 500 ml gusher bottle, from 2017. Brown colour, off-white head. Malty aroma and flavour, some caramel, fairly distinct hops for a bock, but probably not as fresh as it should be.

Shared 500 ml bottle. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Large beige head. Sweetish aroma with moderately roasted malts, hints of liquorice. Medium sweet flavour too, again with some liquorice, nice enough to drink, but lacks the heavy roastiness and bittering hops you expect from something called an "imperial stout".

Aroma of pineapple and other tropical fruits, also citrus. Thin and citric mouthfeel. Flavour of citrus / grapefruit, a hint of pineapple, with a resinous bitterness in the finish.

Aroma of caramel, medium roast malts, brittle, raisins and prunes. Smooth flavour, with the same elements as the aroma. Moderate hops. Nice to drink.

Sweetish notes of caramelized orange marmalade, crystal malts and citrussy and piney American hops. Medium sweet flavour, with the same elements as in the aroma. A little less sweetness and even more hops would be nice, but this is still not a bad shot at an "American" IPA.

The flavour is first fruity, sweet with yellow stonefruits and citrus, ending in a rather dry and sharp ashy and resinous bitterness. Original rating: Sample from tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. My notes differ so much from others that I wonder if the wrong beer was on tap ... Golden colour, white head. Moderate grainy aroma. Very dry and slightly smokey / ashy flavour. Not very interesting at all. Well, it was drinkable, but from Salikatt I expect something much better.
