3927 | Dieu Du Ciel! Route des Épices (Spice Route) | Canada | Spiced Beer | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 341 ml bottle, merci to my Quebecois colleague Louis. ABV is 5.3%. Brown colour, minimal off-white head. Aroma of malts, caramel and over-ripe fruits, just a hint of pepper. Low carbonation. The flavour is distinctly malty, with plenty of caramel, but is not too sweet. A moderate bite of pepper in the finish, becomes very distinct in the aftertaste, and leaves a warming mouthfeel. Moreish. |

3928 | Cromarty Brewing Kowabunga | United Kingdom | American Pale Ale | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 New comments (I am keeping the original numerical rating), cask halfpint at The Grill, Aberdeen. Deep golden to copper colour, white head. Aroma of citrussy hops. Flavour of lemon peel and bittering hops, the malts are rather dull. Original rating: Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting, thanks to Holmen2. ABV is 4.6%. Clear orange colour, moderate white had. Nice aroma of fruity American hops, piney hints too. Hoppy flavour, medium dry, nice enough, but not as much depth as desirable. Still decent enough to buy again. |

3930 | FiftyFifty Base Camp Golden Ale | United States | Blonde Ale | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 The lightest of the ales of my flight of beers at the brewery tap. Pale golden colour, white head, nice lacing. Moderately citrussy in aroma and flavour, light bodied and refreshing as expected, not very exciting, but still with enough hops to make you want to finish the glass. |

3933 | Niksicko Pivo | Montenegro | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.5
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle. ABV is 5%. My first beer from Montenegro. Clear pale golden colour, large and lasting white head, good lacing. Flowery and grassy aroma, quite nice. Maybe some soap in the background, but not enough to ruin the aroma. Light bodied with a substantial hoppy bitterness from start to finish. I would like some more malts to balance the hops, but this beer is still much better than I feared. |

3935 | Celis White | Belgium | Witbier | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 Belgian brewed Celis White, allegedly also known under its alias "Ertvelds Wit". Draught at Den Tatoverede Enke, Copenhagen. Typical wit appearance. LOVELY aroma of burnt caramel / treacle and spices. Flavour is not nearly that exciting, this is a fairly watery and bland wit. |

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Draught at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. Cloudy pale yellowish colour, thick creamy head. Typical witbier aroma and flavour, coriander and orange peel, yeasty, a bit funky too. Light bodied, refreshing. Very moderate and bland aftertaste. |

3937 | Andechser Spezial Hell | Germany | Helles / Dortmunder | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, bought in Germany. ABV is 5.9%. Pale golden colour, large and lingering white head. Fruity and grassy aroma, some malty sweetness too. Soft mouthfeel, moderate carbonation, moderate but decent hops well balanced with the pale malts. I am rarely "swept away" by a helles (nor by any other type of pale lagers, for that matter), not by this one either - but the Andechser Spezial is a well made and very drinkable helles, as far as helles go. Kloster Andechs is probably one of Germany’s best breweries overall. |

3942 | Refsvindinge AZ Ale No.16 | Denmark | Brown Ale | 3.5
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. An ale based on pilsener malts, with artificial colouring, hmmm? Filtered and pasteurised. Pours with a beautiful chestnut colour, with a good creamy tan head. Nice malty aroma with notes of caramel, oak and dried fruits, hints of roastiness and tobacco. Flavour is malty sweet with caramel, one-dimensional, minimal bitterness. Smooth and mellow, I expected something better than this. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Draught in the Brauhaus / brewpub / restaurant, which is situated in the Theodor Storm Hotel (a Best Western hotel) in Husum. Hazy golden colour, orange in the restaurant candlelight. Moderate head, fizzy. Strong cloves and banana aroma. Flavour has cloves and is fairly dry, there are some hops around too. Aftertaste is a bit "dusty". |

3946 | Jacobsen Saaz Blonde | Denmark | Belgian Ale | 3.5
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. Clear golden colour, moderate head that doesn’t last very long. Pleasant sweet aroma of banana, bubblegum, cloves and coriander, Saazer hops of course, hints of dried fruits and oak. Flavour is not that remarkable, spices and alcohol mainly, hints of nuts and oak too. Drinkable, but overpriced. |
