500 ml bottle, from Bunnpris Sauda. ABV is 4.7%, IBU 33. Golden colour, large to moderate white head. Strong aroma of banana purée. Flavour of citrus and banana, not too sweet, moderate bitterness. Not too bad overall.

500 ml bottle, bought in London. ABV is 4.2%. Deep golden colour, large white head. Aroma of blackcurrants and blackcurrant leaves, a hint of toffee. . The flavour is medium dry with a slight fruitiness, which makes it quite drinkable. Decent hops in the finish, become sharpish in the aftertaste.

500 ml bottle, from Løvbjerg Brønderslev. ABV is 6.0%. Slightly hazy deep golden colden to orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of dust, oranges and slightly spicy hops. The flavour is medium dry, notes of piney, spicy and grapefruity hops, bitter finish.

500 ml bottle, February 2016, from Matkroken Stokka. BBE 07/14. ABV is 4.3%. Beautiful clear reddish amber colour, low off-white head. Aroma of raisins, berries and malts. The flavour is malty, but drier than I expected. Hints of raisins and berries again, roast malts and some hops in the finish. Not too bad.

Dusty and malty aroma, hints of cigarbox as the beer warms up a lttle. Medium sweet flavour, malts, caramel, rye bread, mild roasty notes. Nice to drink.

Bourbon barrel version. Shared bottle at regional tasting. Dark brown colour. Bourbon and molasses in the aroma. Rich and sweet flavour, bourbon and oak galore. Good, but maybe too much of the good stuff?

375 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.4%. Slightly hazy pale golden colour, small and shortlived white head. Distinct aroma of farmhouse, lactic acid, oak and dry white wine. Very moderate carbonation. The flavour is moderately sour and slightly tart, with notes of brettanomyces, lactic acid, oak, mild spices and dry white wine.

355 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.5%. Slightly hazy pale golden colour, small white head. Aroma of peaches / nectarine, and artificial peach candy. The flavour is fruity and moderately sweet, notes of peaches and peach candy again, a moderate bitterness in the finish.

My beer rating No. 8000. 330 ml bottle conditioned, barrel aged, from Aberdeen Country Fair (bought there ultimo August 2017, but the BB date of the bottle was 07. Oct. 2016). ABV is 10.5%. Pitch black colour, but no proper head. Fine aroma of roast malts, liquorice, molasses and dark dried fruits, some vinous notes. Minimal carbonation. The flavour is moderately sweet, with notes of roast malts, coffee, liquorice, dark bitter chocolate, some alcohol and bittering hops. Would profit from a somewhat higher level of carbonation.

Aroma of Belgian ale yeast, white kandij sugar syrup, stewed fruits and bog myrtle / sweet gale. Flavour of surprisingly distinct bittering hops, bog myrtle, medium sweet malts and sugar.

Quite dry flavour, distinct notes of coffee (an actual ingredient), hints of dark bitter chocolate. Moderate hops (Cascade, Northern Brewer and Hallertauer Tradition).

The flavour is not as sweet as the aroma made me fear, but has otherwise the same elements as the aroma. Moderate hops in the finish.
