3551 | Marston's Pedigree Bitter | United Kingdom | Bitter | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 "Pedigree Pal" - no wait, that's dogfood. Beerhounds will no doubt prefer this standard bitter, which is available all over Britain. Cask conditioned this is a mellow, easily drinkable bitter. Not the very best, but GOOD, to be sure. Moderately sulphurous aroma. |

3552 | Velkopopovický Kozel Černý / Kozel Dark | Czech Republic | Dunkel / Dark Lager | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 (500 ml bottle). Moderate head, dark reddish brown colour. A very flavourful dunkel despite the low ABV - malty, rounded caramelly sweetness, low bitterness. Not bad - would like to try it on tap. Rerate draught in Prague, compared to Krusovice Cerne: Sweeter than KC, smaller head, more carbonation, less hops, less roastiness, lighter body. |

3553 | Fowlers Prestonpans IPA | United Kingdom | Bitter | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 Cask conditioned at the 32nd Cambridge Beer Festival, gravity dispense. Deep golden colour, slightly hazy. Malty pleasant aroma with notes of apricot and honey. Moderately malty flavour, moderate hops. Certainly no "IPA" by American standards, but a drinkable ale all the same. |

3554 | Berrow BBBB | United Kingdom | Bitter | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Cask conditioned at the 32nd Cambridge Beer Festival, gravity dispense. ABV was listed as 3.9%. Golden colour. Unusual aroma of horse stable, spices, painting varnish, old leather and fermenting fruits. Flavour is quite soft with just a hint of fruits and spices, moderate hops. |

3555 | Rogue Dead Guy Ale | United States | Bock | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 12 fl. oz. bottle, UK import. Pours very foamy and fizzy, with a decent lingering head. Deep amber colour, hazy. Sweet yeasty aroma with elements of oak, molasses, butter and hayloft. Flavour has some molasses sweetness, butter, butterscotch, some spices and decent hops, but lacks a fresh and spritzy "bite". Too much butter elements, I guess. Still a beer well above average, but I’m not ecstatic. |

3557 | Fuglsang Fonix | Denmark | Vienna / Amber Lager | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml can. This "all malt beer" has ascorbic acid (E300, = vitamin C) added as an antioxidant, but is UNFILTERED, which is a rare thing with Danish commercial breweries. Deep golden colour, slightly hazy. Large fluffy head that doesn’t last very long. Moderate but pleasant hoppy aroma. Malty flavour with decent hops - at least it’s better than many other Danish lagers. |

3558 | Carlow Molings Traditional Red Ale / O'Hara's Irish Red | Ireland | Irish Ale | 3.5
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. Chestnut colour, large cream-coloured head, nice lacing. Very moderate aroma of malts and caramel. Malty flavour with some toffee and a noticeable bitterness, but not very complex or remarkable. Drinkable of course, but this is a beer that probably would be a lot better if cask or bottle conditioned. It’s not, which makes it not that much better than "average". |

3560 | Southampton Imperial Porter | United States | Baltic Porter | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Bottle, labelled "Imperial Porter". Is this really the same beer? RBESG 2005, Grand Tasting. Pleasant sweet malty and roasty aroma with notes of chocolate and molasses. Flavour is malty sweet with chocolatey and oaky notes. Aftertaste is malty sweet and fairly unremarkable. Strangely sweet for a porter, but no doubt a craft beer. |

3563 | Mack Ufiltrert IPA | Norway | IPA | 3.5
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml can, from Coop Extra, Tau. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of fruity hops, some piney notes too. The mouthfeel is not too bad for a 4.7% session IPA. The flavour has typical "West Coast" notes of grapefruit and piney hops, decent bitterness. Maybe not so very special, but still one of Mack's better beers, this one. |

Deep golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of grapefruit and spruce, a hint of tropical fruits. The flavour has some sweetness, but not too much. Distinct hops as expected, but far from extreme for a double IPA. Moderate aftertaste. Notes of citrus, spruce and pineapple, as the brewery suggests. |
