330 ml bottle, from Bunnpris Sauda. ABV is 4.7%. Hazy orange to brown colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Aroma of malts, juniper berries, cloves and liquorice, can't detect the vanilla. The flavour has the same elements, distinct cloves and juniper berries, a hint of vanilla. Quite good and interesting, even though the various spices might be said to be less than perfectly balanced.

500 ml bottle, as Grünerløkka Imperial Nøttebrun Brown Ale, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7%. Very dark brown colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of brown malts, roasted nuts, burnt breadcrumbs. The flavour has the same elements, also hints of burnt caramel and dark chocolate, moderate earthy hops.

Aroma of medium roast malts, notes of burnt caramel and burnt breadcrumbs. The flavour has the same elements, with moderate bittering hops and more roast malts in the finish.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Opaque yellow colour, moderate white head. Strong aroma of tomcat / catpiss, also citrus and pine needles. The flavour has citrus, tropical fruits, alcohol and pine needles, with a resinous bitterness in the finish.

355 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8%. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Sweetish aroma of roast malts, coffee and loads of maple syrup. The flavour is not quite as sweet as I feared, but has again loads of maple syrup, also notes of coffee, moderate bittering hops.

375 ml green bottle, from Vinmonopolet Klepp. ABV is 8.8%. Hazy golden to dirt brown colour, lots of lumpy yeast floaties. Large white head. Aroma of yuzu zest and citric hops. The flavour is sweet and sour, with a distinct citric fruity acidity, yuzu zest and spicy yeast galore, also citric Galaxy hops.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.8%. Moderately hazy reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of "spicy" rye malts and rye bread, also piney, spicy and citric hops. Flavour with the same elements as the aroma, a resinous and grapefruity bitterness in the finish.

June 2015: 355 ml bottle, vintage 2013, BB date 31.05.2014, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 10.4%. Orange colour, slightly hazy. Large head, slightly off-white. Strong hoppy aroma, notes of orange marmalade and pine needles. Very sweet and very bitter flavour, fruity and piney hops galore, but the sweetness and bitterness are nearly too much for me.

500 ml can, from SPAR Jørpeland. ABV is 4.7%. Cloudy yellow colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of mango and "citrus & tropical fruits" hops, a hint of spruce. Citric and slightly chewy mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Medium sweet and fruity flavour, mango again, grapefruit and pine / resin in the moderately bitter finish.

Hazy yellow-ish colour, large to moderate white head. Aroma of papaya and other tropical fruits, hints of citrus and spruce. Flavour of oranges, hints of tropical fruits, moderate pine needles in the finish. Okay, but not exceptional.

Hazy yellow colour, large white head. Pleasant aroma of tropical fruits, also citrus. Fizzy mouthfeel. Medium sweet flavour, citrus and tropical fruits again, pine needles in the finish.

May 2017: Shared 500 ml can at local tasting. ABV is 6.2%. Pale golden colour, white head. Very nice hoppy aroma, notes of fruits and spruce, also spicy and herbal hints. The flavour is a tad too sweet for my taste, but is well hopped throughout. Decent beer.

Febr. 2020: 440 ml can, from Bestofbeers, Denmark. ABV is 6.8%. Hazy orange colour, moderate white head. Distinct aroma of piney and spicy hops. Dry and slightly sour flavour, some citrus, piney and spicy hops again. I am not sure the sourness was intended (the beer passed its BB date 2 weeks ago), but I kind of like it.
