November 2019: 330 ml can, from Helgø Meny Tasta Senter. ABV is 4.7%. Very pale straw colour, slightly hazy. Large white head. Strong aroma of floral hops, hints of citrus, wheat and honey. Citric and wheaty flavour, very refreshing. Moderate but noticeable hops.

440 ml can, as Monkey Brew Kepler Bayer, from Birk Bryggeriutsalg, Klepp. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy chestnut colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of malts and brown bread, hints of caramel, dark syrup and burnt breadcrumbs. The flavour is distinctly malty but not too sweet, with the same elements as the aroma, moderate to low bitterness.

February 2022: 440 ml can, batch #336, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. "Dirty" yellow cloudy colour, moderate white head. Aroma of liquorice, hints of pumpernickel bread and some pine. Flavour of liquorice and citric hops, some lactose sweetness, sufficient malts, low bitterness. Something out the ordinary this one, debatable if it is perfectly balanced, but well worth sampling.

440 ml can, from Birk Bryggeriutsalg, as Hogna Calcutta "Session IPA" #042 Fresh hop Citra. ABV is 4.7%. Moderately hazy golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of citric hops, hints of pine and spruce. The flavour has the same elements, with a noticeable bitterness in the finish.

November 2018: On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Amber colour, large head, slightly off-white. Aroma of amber malts, fruity hops and juniper berries. The flavour is slightly more dry than sweet, with fairly distinct hops, sufficient malts with roasty hints, and discrete juniper berries. Well balanced and very drinkable.

January 2020: 500 ml bottle, from Skjold Burne Hjørring. ABV is 10%, IBU 50. Hops are Magnum and Mosaic. Black colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roast malts, mild coffee, vanilla and lactose. Sweet flavour with the same ingredients, very distinct chocolate, vanilla and lactose, also caramel. Maybe too sweet? Roast malts, coffee and bittering hops in the aftertaste.

440 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 6%. Thick texture, does indeed look like a Piña Colada smoothie, opaque pale yellow colour. The can must be turned upside-down a few times prior to opening. Aroma of pineapple and coconut. Flavour again of pineapple, coconut and alcohol - in a blind test, I might have been fooled to believe that this was a real Piña Colada longdrink. Not very sour. So if you think you don't like beer, but love a Piña Colada: try this beer! I am so fortunate to like both a variety of beers, AND Piña Coladas - lucky me!

Strong aroma of peaches and mango, a hint of sprucetips. Flavour of peaches and some mild piney notes, low bitterness.

750 ml bottle, from the cidery. ABV is 6.0%. Slightly hazy pale straw colour, pours moderately sparkling with a moderate white head. Aroma of apples and rose petals, a hint of pears. Mild and medium dry flavour of apples, hints of rose petals, gooseberries, lychee and pears.

July 2012: Rerate, 500 ml bottle, batch #428, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 9.2%. Copper to deep brown colour, clear first, hazy when the the yeast is poured in the end. Large head, slightly off-white. Pleasant malty aroma with notes of caramel and brown sugar, hints of mild spices. Very sweet flavour, plenty of caramel, brown kandij sugar and molasses, hints of chocolate and mild spices. Spicy and moderately hoppy (Northern Brewer and Saaz) finish. Original rating: Sample at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Hazy brown colour. Sweetish malty and mildly spicy aroma. Sweet flavour, loads of kandij sugar, mild spicy notes. Too sweet perhaps?

Aroma of Belgian ale yeast and mild Christmas spices, hints of toffee, caramel, banana and dark dried fruits. Light bodied. The flavour is not too sweet, but has the same elements as the aroma. Low bitterness. Nice to drink.

The flavour has again notes of citrus and tropical fruits, but also notes of pine needles and a distinct bitterness in the finish.

November 2020: 330 ml can, as Magic Rock Murk-Life Balance Hazy Pale Ale, from Vinmonopolet Sola. ABV is 5.0%. Brewed with Australian hops, according to the brewery website. Cloudy yellow colour, moderate white head. Lovely and intense aroma of a wide range of tropical fruits, also citrus and spruce. Fairly light bodied. The flavour is more dry than sweet, moderate notes of pine needles, sprucetips and said fruits.

440 ml can, as Wettre I Comet Farmhouse IPA, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.0%. Hazy "dirty yellow" colour, moderate white head. Aroma of citrus and yellow plums, a hint of pine. Citric flavour, malts and yellow plums in the background, hints of kveik and resin, moderate bitterness. Fairly nice beer.

August 2013: 500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5%. Clear brown to copper colour, moderate white head. Malty aroma with notes of toffee, caramel and nuts, hints of over-ripe fruits. The flavour is also malty but not very sweet, some fruity notes, hints of oak, nuts and caramel, fairly bitter and slightly roasty finish. More "contemporary" in style than Traquair House Ale and Jacobite Ale, but this one is also a fine beer.

The flavour is citric but not too sweet, hints of yellow stonefruits and tropical fruits, weak piney notes, dull finish.

March 2021: 500 ml bottle, from Bier Huis, Ossett. ABV is 5.0%. Clear deep golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of malts and toffee, hints of caramel and earthy hops. The flavour is first malty but not very sweet, followed by fruity and earthy hops, with a rather sharp piney /resinous bitterness in the aftertaste.
