2452 | Phoenix Special Brew | Mauritius | Strong Lager | 2.5
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 Can, kindly shared by abemorsten. ABV is 6.5%. Golden colour, moderate head. Very moderate pale lager aroma, but not offensive. Standard pale lager flavour, nothing offensive here, tolerable hops. I guess I could survive on this in Mauritius. |

2453 | Bohemia | Mexico | Lager | 2.6
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330 ml bottle, as Bohemia Clásica, now available in Norway. ABV is 4.8%. Ingredients include maize (corn), rice and ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Pale golden colour, slightly hazy, moderate white head. "Dusty" and uninteresting aroma. The flavour has at least a hint of hops, so it could be said to be more interesting than Corona and Sol. Refreshing on a hot day. |

2454 | Dos Equis XX Special Lager | Mexico | Pale Lager | 2.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 Rerate, 330 ml green bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.5%. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. The aroma has maize and some fruit, not unpleasant. The flavour is (well, what flavour?) not offensive, at least when the beer is ice cold. Some "freshness" made it quite drinkable with pizza, and if that is your only ambition, it should work well. The beer enthusiast will of course look for more flavourful beers. |

2455 | Dos Equis XX Amber | Mexico | Vienna / Amber Lager | 2.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.5%. Copper to amber colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma, some fruit, grass and caramel. The flavour is at least more malty than the Especial, a little fruit and caramel again, but is otherwise rather bland and boring, with minimal hops. |

2456 | Corona Cero | Mexico | Reduced Alcohol | 1.9
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 3 330 ml clear bottle, from Coop Extra Sauda. Clear and pale golden colour, moderate to low white head. Sweetish aroma of maize, malts and newmown grass. Tastes like sparkling water with a little maize, malts and sugar added, a hint of citrus. Minimal hops. Gets a couple points for not tasting awful. An alternative to water when you have to drive. |

2457 | Modelo Especial | Mexico | Pale Lager | 2.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 355 ml clear bottle, bought in Denmark. ABV is 4.5%. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Strong sweetish Heineken-like lightstruck aroma, notes of maize. The flavour (as far as there is any flavour at all) has maize, grain and wet cardboard. Some weak citric notes, a little sweetness, minimal hops. As the beer is wet, cold and carbonated, it may serve some purpose under the Mexican sun - otherwise, it is one to forget. |

2458 | Negra Modelo | Mexico | Dunkel / Dark Lager | 3.4
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 355 ml bottle, as Negra Modelo, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.4%. Clear copper to amber colour, moderate off-white head. Strong aroma of caramel, treacle and brown bread. Smooth flavour, notes of malts, brown bread and caramel, sweet but not extreme, low bitterness. Pleasant to drink. |

2459 | Cave Creek Chili Beer | Mexico | Pale Lager | 1.5
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 330 ml clear bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 4.2%. Pale golden colour, minimal head. Aroma of green chilies and green peppers / other uncooked vegetables, not very inviting. The flavour has a solid chili burn from start to finish, no sign of anything else (like malts and hops). Really hot chili burn in the aftertaste. Oh dear. Glad I did not finish a whole bottle of this. |

2460 | Corona Light | Mexico | Light / Lite Lager | 1.8
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 355 ml clear bottle, ABV is 3.9%. The Norwegian supermarket scene has now been blessed with this masterpiece, hurra. Very pale yellow colour, moderate white head of poor retention. Fairly strong sweetish aroma, notes of maize, artificial candy and grass. Soft mouthfeel. Citric and refreshing flavour (kind of), a little hops in the finish. Thin and uninteresting as expected, but not disgusting. |

2462 | Cerveceria Mexicana Cerveza Potro | Mexico | Porter | 3.5
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml blue "liqueur design" bottle, bought in Edinburgh. "Lote 00148". ABV is 4.7%. Black coloured beer, reddish brown in the highlights. Large to moderate tan head. Unusual aroma with notes of balsamic vinegar, dark fermenting fruits, ensilage, burned rubber and glue, hints of chocolate and liquorice - good and not-so-good at the same time. The flavour is moderately roasty, fruity and acidic with distinct notes of smoke, hints of liquorice. The mouthfeel is a bit thin. Very far from being the best porter in the world, but worth a try. |

2464 | Sol | Mexico | Pale Lager | 1.7
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 There are so much better beers "under the sun" - there's really no reason to buy Sol. Same category as Corona, same silly lime slice gimmick. Unbelievably, this swill is imported to Norway. Only for idiots who think they look "cool" when drinking it out of the bottle. Pass. |

2466 | Brasserie de Monaco Fruits Rouges | Monaco | Fruit Beer | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Jan. 2018: 330 ml red bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. Brewed in France for Brasserie de Monaco. ABV is 6%. Clear red colour, moderate pinkish off-white head. Aroma of blackcurrants, raspberries and wild strawberries. The flavour has also notes of said berries, some sweetness, but not as much as I feared. Very moderate hops. |

2467 | Brasserie de Monaco Blanche Tradition | Monaco | Witbier | 3.3
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 June 2016: 330 ml red bottle, as Brasserie de Monaco Blanche Tradition, from Vaaland, Bryne, thanks to gunnar. ABV is 4.7%. The bottled beers are brewed in France by Brasserie Meteor for Brasserie de Monaco. Hazy and extremely pale straw colour, moderate to low white head. Nice citrussy and wheaty aroma, notes of banana, cloves and coriander. Refreshing citrussy and wheaty flavour, medium dry and light bodied, moderate spicy notes, minimal hops. |

2468 | Brasserie de Monaco Beer (Blonde 5°) | Monaco | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 2.8
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 June 2016: 330 ml red bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5%. My first beer ever from a red bottle, and also my first beer from Monaco, even though the bottled version is brewed in France by EMB 67202 (= Brasserie Météor) for Brasserie de Monaco. The bottled version is apparently filtered. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Fairly strong aroma of grassy hops. Soft mouthfeel. Crisp pilsener flavour, medium dry, with fairly distinct bittering hops. A decent pilsener, no more, no less. |

Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish grassy aroma. Standard industrial pale lager flavour, neither better nor worse than the bulk of them. Some hops in the finish. |

2470 | Chinggis Mongolian Lager | Mongolia | Pale Lager | 2.5
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330 ml bottle, "made under licence of Chinggis Beer LLC, Ulanbaatar, Mongolia by HBI Hamburger Bier Import". ABV is 5.0%. An unexpected gift from Cunningham, thanks! Very pale yellow colour, large white head. Strong sweetish aroma, notes of grass and artificial candy. The flavour is medium sweet (for a pilsener), but not quite as sweet as the aroma made me fear. No offensive sidenotes, so the beer is drinkable, but has far too little hops to make me really happy. Dry finish. |

2471 | Niksicko Pivo | Montenegro | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.5
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle. ABV is 5%. My first beer from Montenegro. Clear pale golden colour, large and lasting white head, good lacing. Flowery and grassy aroma, quite nice. Maybe some soap in the background, but not enough to ruin the aroma. Light bodied with a substantial hoppy bitterness from start to finish. I would like some more malts to balance the hops, but this beer is still much better than I feared. |

2474 | Heineken 0.0 | Netherlands | Reduced Alcohol | 2.1
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 330 ml green bottle, from Helgø Meny Maxi, Sandnes. Crystal clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. The aroma has first some fresh and typical Heineken notes of lightstruck hops, before the more usual n/a beer features of cooked vegetables and baby porridge take over, but not as extreme as in some other n/a beers. Thin mouthfeel as expected. The flavour is fairly dry with some hops, and the beer is not undrinkable, okay with a meal. |

2475 | De Moersleutel Motorolie Coffee | Netherlands | Imperial Stout | 4.2
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 440 ml can, as Moersleutel motor oil coffee, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 12%. Pitch black colour, moderate tan head. Distinct aroma of roast malts and coffee, also hints of dark chocolate and liquorice. Medium sweet flavour, with the same elements as the aroma. The sweetness is to some degree balanced by the roast malts and decent bittering hops. Good beer! |
