The flavour has also nice presence of Saaz, but there is also a pleasant malty sweetness. Overall is this a fairly well balanced pilsener, above average for the style, and very refreshing when cold.

The fairly sweet flavour has also notes of caramel and molasses, hints of dark dried fruits and liquorice. Too moderate hops.The alcohol is not well hidden.

Soft and pleasant mouthfeel. The flavour has notes of oak / wood and mild spices, hints of smoke, a decent hoppy bitterness in the finish. Smoke in the aftertaste.

The flavour is fairly clean and zesty, no unpleasant off-flavours, moderate hops in the finish. Definitely not the worst pale lager I’ve had.

Bottle, RBESG 2007 in Glasgow, Grand Tasting. Pale and hazy straw coloured beer. Unusual farmhouse aroma, hints of oak. The flavour is slightly woody and alcoholic, with noticeable hops. Not undrinkable.

The flavour is crisp and fresh with a moderate sweetness, herbal and floral hops throughout. Fine bitterness in the finish. One of the best pilseners I’ve had.

The flavour is extremely hoppy from start to finish, but has also a substantial malty sweetness. A bit too much of both sweetness and hops, IMHO. Still, clearly a craft brew well worth samling.

Strong and beguiling fruity, yeasty and spicy aroma. The flavour is fruity with light spicy notes, distinct hops in the finish. Light bodied and refreshing.

Very nice fruity and spicy aroma. The flavour is dry and spicy with a certain acidity. Light bodied for its strength. ~

The flavour has plenty of hops, but also notes of slightly stale bitter orange marmalade. Very dry and "dusty" finish and aftertaste. Fairly good IPA.

Strong smoky aroma, notes of smoked meat and bonfires, also some moderate roasty notes in the background. The flavour is surprisingly mild, smoky notes of course, but not extreme. Very moderate roastiness, quite dry, too modest hops. Hints of acidity throughout. Easy drinking.

The flavour is fairly malty with some sweetness, notes of berries and maybe some toffee again, moderate hops in the finish, hints of resin and dust. Not a "shock" by any stretch of the mind, but decent enough.

Moderate aroma of "dusty" hops. Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour is fairly dry, with just a hint of caramel, and noticeable German hops (Magnum and Hersbrücker) in the finish.

On tap at Flamingoland amusement park, Yorkshire. Pale golden colour, low head. Slightly yeasty and fruity aroma. Very fizzy mouthfeel, bad. The flavour is also slightly yeasty with some undefined sickly notes, and some unpleasant dry hops in the finish. Not good.

Sampled bottle, RBNAG 2007 in Grimstad. ABV was 6.4%. Hazy golden colour, huge head. Pleasant aroma of blackcurrants and hops. Moderately fruity flavour (blackcurrants), light bodied for a 6.4% beer.

Bottle, ABV 4.7%, at RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg, thanks to KnutAlbert. Cloudy golden/blonde colour, moderate head. Pleasant aroma of Belgian yeast with a mild spiciness, and an inviting fruitiness. Zesty mouthfeel. The flavour has also pleasant notes of mild spices, fruity in the middle, slightly peppery and moderately hoppy finish.

Bottle, at RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg, thanks to my beer pal Olav. Golden colour, low head. The aroma has notes of Belgian yeast, hints of citrus and spices. Moderate carbonation, soft mouthfeel. The flavour is moderately fruity and spicy, very moderate hoppy bitterness in the finish.

Bottle, at RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg, thanks to my beer pal Olav. Deep sherry-like colour, moderate head. The flavour has notes of caramel but is otherwise fairly dry, moderate hops and hints of burnt caramel in the finish. The mouthfeel is a bit watery.

Bottle, at RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg, as Barley Zàgara Buchemèli. Brewed with honey from orange flowers. Orange coloured beer, low head. Lovely aroma of oranges / orange flowers. Fairly dry flavour for a beer brewed with honey, just a hint of oranges, moderate hops in the finish.

Bottle, ABV 7.5%, at RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. Reddish brown colour, moderate head. The aroma has notes of brown malts, caramel, dark dried fruits and oak, quite nice. The flavour has brown malts and rye bread, a little caramel and oak, not very sweet. The mouthfeel is a bit thin for a beer of this strength.
