2101 | Duff Beer (Germany) | Germany | Pale Lager | 1.7
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 330 ml bottle, brewed by Eschweger, ABV in Norway is 4.7%. Bought at MENY Stadionparken. Crystal clear extremely pale yellow colour, big white head. Grainy aroma of unhopped pilsener wort and boiled vegetables, not good. Sweet and sugary flavour, hardly any bitterness. What a stupid idea - brewing a purposely shitty American Standard pale lager in Europe, just because Homer Simpson would have liked it ... Taste is nothing, marketing is everything. |

2102 | Craft Weiss Bier | Greece | Hefeweizen | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml shared bottle, as Craft Weiss Beer, thanks to our beerpal Jan Magnus who brought it from Greece. ABV is 5.0%. Cloudy orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma with notes of malt and wort, overshadows the typical h.w. notes of cloves and banana. Also notes of over-ripe berries. Wheaty flavour, refreshing, with a more pronounced hoppy bitterness than in many other hefeweizens. |

2105 | Charma Lager | Greece | Kellerbier | 1.5
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 330 ml unlabelled bottle, kindly shared by gunnar. Golden colour, moderate to low white head. Strong sweetish aroma, notes of flowers and artificial banana candy. The flavour is not quite as sweet as the aroma made me fear, but has still notes of banana candy. Minimal hops. Weird, but not undrinkable. |

Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 (33 cl can, bought in Greece). Pale golden colour, low to none head. NO aroma (well, I had a bit of a cold, but there can’t possibly be much there. I had no problem smelling the Hefeweissbier I had afterwards). Thin mouthfeel, sweetish fruity flavour but not unpleasant, just a hint of hop bitterness in the finish. |

Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 Small sample from can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. Black colour, beige head. First reaction: "Å du syge banan!!!". Sugary aroma and flavour, apparently intended to exterminate drinkers by giving them severe diabetes. This is just ridiculous. Also insane amounts of cocoa, marshmallows, nutmeg and cinnamon. At least it is not thin and insipid.. |

2123 | Seven Island Sunday Stack | Greece | Imperial Stout | 3.0
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 440 ml can, as Seven Island Sunday Stack, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 12%. Brewed for Seven Island at Sori Brewing, Estonia. Black colour, small tan head. Intense sweetish and sickening aroma of "artificial" dark berries, vanilla, lactose and fatty roasted nuts. Warming and cloying mouthfeel. Ridiculously sweet flavour, but a fairly distinct fruitiness helps the drinkability a lot. Notes of blueberries, blackberries, a shitload of lactose, maple syrup, chocolate, caramel, vanilla and roasted nuts. Low bitterness. Might have been a reasonably good beer if they had not killed it with lactose and maple syrup. |

2125 | Nanoq Mammut Pale Ale | Greenland | IPA | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 May 2012: Sample at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Deep golden colour. Both aroma and flavour have caramel, toffee and decent hops throughout. Pleasant to drink. This is a surprisingly well balanced strong pale ale from Greenland. The alcohol is noticeable, but does not dominate. |
