702 | Primátor 24% Specialni Tmavé (Double Bock) | Czech Republic | Doppelbock | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 (500 ml bottle). Black (= very dark brown) colour, moderate tan head. Aroma of lightly roasted malts, tar and dark chocolate. Notes of smoke and woodwork. Flavour is rich, malty and full of molasses. Very sweet, too sweet in my book - nearly sticky. The 10% ABV is extremely well hidden behind the overwhelming sweetness, could (nearly) pass for a 1.7% ABV Danish "hvidtøl"! The Danes might use it to put hyper-active children to sleep on Christmas eve! Despite the sweetness, I kind of like it, due to its very full mouthfeel. A love-hate relationship, you might say. |

703 | Primátor Tmavé Lezák (Dark Lager) | Czech Republic | Dunkel / Dark Lager | 3.7
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Rerate, 500 ml bottle, as Primátor Premium Dark. ABV is 4.8%. Will be imported to Norway. Mahogany coloured beer, big beige head. Nice aroma of brown bread and caramel. Malty flavour with notes of brown bread and caramel again, slightly roasty, low bitterness. Original rating: (500 ml bottle, bought in Sweden). I somehow managed to delete my original comments here, damn! But this is still a nice dunkel, deep reddish brown colour, decent head. Flavour is malty and bready with a moderate but nice roastiness, notes of caramel, moderately sweet. I would like some more hops in the finish, but that’s the Czech dunkel style, I guess. |

704 | Eggenberg Svetlý Lezák (Premium Lager) | Czech Republic | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.8
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, now available in Norway. Golden colour, large to moderate head. Strong flowery aroma with notes of honey and butterscotch. Made with "modified hops and hop extract", hmmm .... Clean pilsener flavour with flowery elements and a respectable hoppy bitterness. A solid pilsener in my book. |

705 | Velkopopovický Kozel Černý / Kozel Dark | Czech Republic | Dunkel / Dark Lager | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 (500 ml bottle). Moderate head, dark reddish brown colour. A very flavourful dunkel despite the low ABV - malty, rounded caramelly sweetness, low bitterness. Not bad - would like to try it on tap. Rerate draught in Prague, compared to Krusovice Cerne: Sweeter than KC, smaller head, more carbonation, less hops, less roastiness, lighter body. |

706 | Primátor IPA | Czech Republic | IPA | 2.4
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 500 ml bottle, from the Danish importer. ABV is 6.5%. Clear deep golden colour, huge white head. Sweetish aroma, more like 6.5% Czech lager than an IPA, notes of flowers, hints of oranges. Fairly sweet flavour, some oranges, caramel and alcohol, followed by a surprisingly sharp and very bitter medicinal finish. Unbalanced. Did not like this one much. |
