6203 | St. Peters Grapefruit Beer | United Kingdom | Fruit Beer | 3.7
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 500 ml bottle, as St. Peter's Fruit Beer Grapefruit, bought at Vaaland Spesialbutikken, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Deep golden colour, moderate white head. Strong and pleasant aroma of grapefruit, also moderate notes of malts and toffee. The flavour is zesty with plenty of grapefruit, also a distinct hoppy bitterness in the finish. I love notes of "grapefruit" in a beer when they are caused by American hops, but actually adding grapefruit flavouring to the beer might mean a bit too much of the good stuff. Still, this is a refreshing and very drinkable beer, which requires that you have a crush on grapefruit to be really enthusiastic about it. |

6204 | St. Peters Honey Porter | United Kingdom | Porter | 3.3
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml bottle, bought at Vaaland Spesialbutikken, Bryne. ABV is 4.5%. Very dark reddish brown colour, moderate creamy beige head. VERY strong aroma of honey, also notes of caramel and syrup. Creamy mouthfeel. The honey dominates the flavour too, but it is not quite as sweet as I feared. Notes of coffee and cough syrup, with a moderate hoppy bitterness in the finish. St. Peter's Brewery has better beers than this one! |

6212 | Samuel Smith Organic Lager | United Kingdom | Lager | 2.8
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 550 ml bottle, at Café Luna, Aalborg. ABV was 5%. Golden colour, big to moderate white head. Moderate aroma of flowery and grassy hops. Allegedly "a touch hoppier than many lagers", I still find the flavour rather bland and boring. More malts than hops though. At least there are no offensive side flavours. |

6213 | Samuel Smiths Organic Cider | United Kingdom | Cider | 2.4
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 550 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5%. Ingredients are water, organic apple concentrate, organic cane sugar, malic acid, yeast, carbon dioxide. Hm. So much for "fresh apples straight from the tree". Extremely pale yellow colour, pours very fizzy with a big to moderate head that actually lasts for a while. Moderate aroma of cider apples, eating apples and dust. The flavour is bland and watery, medium sweet (or medium dry, if you like), notes of bland eating apples without much character. Not much to write home about. |
