330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5%. Clear amber colour, moderate white head. Aroma of malts and caramel. Slightly citric mouthfeel. Flavour of malts and caramel again, not too sweet, a hint of roastiness. Not bad, but not particularly exciting either.

May 2013: 500 ml bottle at Lompa Friluft, Oslo. ABV is 5.0%. Beautiful reddish brown, colour, low off-white head. Moderate malty aroma with toast and a hint of chocolate. Soft mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Lovely flavour, well balanced between the malts (brown bread, toast, lightly roasted notes of chocolate and coffee) and hops (elderflowers, grapefruit, pine). Smooth to drink.

May 2013: 500 ml bottle, at Lompa Friluft, Oslo. ABV is 5.4%. Orange to amber colour, moderate white head. Average IPA aroma and flavour of piney American (and English too, apparently) hops. Sharp and very bitter aftertaste.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Verksgt., Stavanger. ABV is 6.0%. Deep red colour, no carbonation. Distinct aroma of cranberries and honey, hints of lime and orange zest. Medium sweet and fruity flavour, with the same elements as the aroma.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.5%. Deep, deep red colour, small and shortlived pink head. Very moderate carbonation. Strong and intense aroma of blackcurrants, nearly masking the notes of honey. Very fruity flavour, medium sweet, with blackcurrants galore, a little honey in the background.

Oct. 2013: 330 ml bottle, vintage 2008, from Voldby Købmandsgaard. ABV is 12.7%. Cloudy dark brown colour, large beige head. Sweetish malty aroma, notes of oak, alcohol and caramel. Warming mouthfeel. Malty flavour, oak and caramel again, but not too sweet for a barleywine. Also notes of dark dried fruits. Oaky and hoppy finish.

June 2012: On tap at HaandBryggeriet Beer Festival, Drammen. Deep orange to amber colour, moderate off-white head. Moderate aroma of fruity hops, hints of flowers and honey. The flavour is first sweet malts, then distinct hops with fruity notes and a bitter finish. Decent beer, but a bit too much sweetness overall.

May 2013: On tap at Haand Festival 2013, Drammen. Black colour, creamy tan head. Mild but pleasant roasty aroma, notes of dark chocolate and mild coffee. Very well balanced flavour, distinctly roasty without ever being rough and coarse, smooth coffee and dark chocolate again, decent hops throughout.

Sept. 2006: RBESG 2006 Grand Tasting. ABV is 6.3%, OG is 1.070. Lovely chocolate aroma, roasty with notes of toffee too, hints of tar and liquorice. Flavour is malty and moderately roasty, pastry notes. Another fine beer from one of my favourite breweries.

May 2013: On tap at Haand Festival 2013, Drammen. Dark orange to red colour, moderate white head. Moderate but pleasant aroma of fruity hops and berries. Well balanced flavour, lovely hoppy and fruity character on a background of smooth malts, hints of oak and spices. Närke quality!

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Hazy ancient pink to red colour, small off-white head. Aroma of redcurrants, over-ripe raspberries and blackcurrants, also lactic acid. Fairly refreshing flavour of said berries, also tropical fruits, some lactic acid, a hint of salt.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.5%. Moderately hazy golden colour, large white head. Aroma of citrus, kiwi fruit, pineapple and peaches. Citric flavour, medium sweet, notes of said fruits, some piney hops, moderately bitter finish.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.0%. Golden to orange colour, no head. Aroma of farmhouse funk, oak and white wine vinegar. Very sour and astringent / tart flavour, fairly dry, lots of oak and vinegar. Won't buy again.

330 ml can, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. Brewed for Omnipollo at De Proefbrouwerij in Belgium. ABV is 4.4%. Pale golden colour, large to moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of pilsener malts, flowers and newmown grass, hints of herbs and honey. Slightly sweet flavour with pilsener malts and herbal hops, a fairly distinct bitterness in the finish.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.0%. Slightly hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Nice aroma of fruity and piney hops, notes of oranges and tropical fruits. Flavour with the same elements, not too sweet, well balanced, moderately bitter finish, easy drinking. Light bodied.

June 2016: 330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 7.0%. BB date 08.11.2013. Lumpy sediment in the bottle. Cloudy and very dark brown colour, moderate beige head. Pleasant aroma of chocolate, cocoa and mild coffee, hints of vanilla. The flavour is fresh and slightly fruity, fairly dry, again with notes of chocolate / cocoa, hints of vanilla and a whiff of smoke, moderate hops in the finish.

June 2016: 330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. BB date 05.03.2015. ABV is 9.5%. Black colour, large beige head. Aroma of roast malts and liquorice. Roasty flavour too, plenty of liquorice, salty and hoppy finish. Nice enough, but not as complex as I hoped for.

330 ml green bottle, from REMA 1000. ABV is 0.5%. Crystal clear pale yellow colour, moderate but lasting white head. Heineken-like "skunky" and grassy aroma, which is a good thing, compared to other n/a beers. Sweetish notes of pilsener wort too. Thin and watery mouthfeel, as expected. Very moderate flavour, a little sweetness, a little hops. The good thing is: there are no really offensive off-flavours. If you have to drive, this beer might help you avoid dying of thirst.

Bottle, kindly shared by abemorsten. ABV is 4.6%. Beautiful chestnut colour, decent beige head. Nice aroma of malts, toast and a hint of toffee, also a hint of tobacco. The flavour has notes of smoked malts, ashes and tobacco. Quite dry.

Bottle, kindly shared by abemorsten. ABV is 6%. Black colour, moderate to low beige head. Pleasant and harmonious aroma of coffee, chocolate and dark dried fruits, hints of oak. Flavour of coffee without being too "heavy", pleasant to drink (but demands that you like coffee). A very enjoyable beer.

500 ml bottle, from Ølkonsortiet, Aalborg. ABV is 7.0%. Amber colour, moderate white (or slightly off-white) head. Lovely aroma of US and NZ hops, notes of tropical fruits and pine, also hints of toffee. The flavour is medium sweet, with distinct hops throughout, notes of grapefruit and pine, very sharp and bitter finish, some dust and metal in the aftertaste.
