On tap at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal, Stavanger. Opaque yellow colour, moderate white head. Both aroma and flavour have notes of citrus and white grapes, also hints of tropical fruits. Despite all the fruitiness there is also a distinct and well balanced bitterness. A very good beer!

On tap at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal, Stavanger. Black colour, tan head. Roasty aroma and flavour, fairly dry and "clean" flavour (no sugarbombs here!), hints of coffee and unsweetened liquorice, noticeable bittering hops. No surprises here - simply a well made Baltic porter.

330 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 15.6%. Deep reddish brown colour, moderate off-white to beige head. Aroma of malts and dark dried fruits, some vinous hints. Flavour with the same elements, also distinct bittering hops. The alcohol is not as dominant as I feared.

500 ml bottle, as Nøgne Ø U.N.P.O.C. Quadrupel, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 13.0%, IBU 30. Very dark brown colour, minimal and shortlived tan head. Aroma of dark dried fruits, chocolate and caramel malts. Rich and warming mouthfeel. Sweet flavour with the same elements, also brown kandij sugar syrup and mild spices, moderate bittering hops.

500 ml can, from Kiwi Tau. ABV is 4.5%. Crystal clear and very pale straw colour, small white head. Aroma of sweetish malts, grass, rotting vegetables, hints of sewage and vomit. Thin and citric mouthfeel. Flavour of malts, a little citrus, grain and very moderate bittering hops. Won't buy again.

750 ml corked & caged bottle, as Raaen Høgtid (Christmas seasonal), from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 12%. Apple varieties are Aroma and Gravenstein. Clear and extremely pale straw colour, pours moderately sparkling with a small and shortlived white head. Nice aroma of said apples, a hint of sulphites. Moderately sweet flavour of apples and alcohol. Would probably profit from a lower ABV. Don't think I'll buy this one again.

500 ml can, from Kiwi Tau. ABV is 4.3%. Clear and deep golden colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of malts, toffee and caramel. The flavour has the same elements, but is not too sweet. Moderate bittering hops in the aftertaste.

August 2019: 330 ml bottle, from Spar Jørpeland. ABV is 4.7%. Cloudy straw colour, large white head. Strong aroma of grassy, floral and herbal hops. Refreshing dry flavour with decent herbal hops throughout, some citric hints too. Good bitterness.

500 ml can, from Coop Prestemarka, Tau. ABV is 4.7%. Moderately hazy greyish-brownish-golden colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of artificial "peach" essence and "peach" candy. Citric mouthfeel. The unpleasant flavour has a little citrus, but first and foremost loads of artificial "peach" essence. Low bitterness. At least the beer is not too sweet, but this is not something I'll buy again. Ever.

Small sample, on tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Hazy orange colour, moderate white head. Moderate fruity aroma, hints of red plums. Distinct fruity flavour, plums again, not too sweet, reasonably bitter finish, spicy hints. Nice.

330 ml can, a gift. ABV is 5.5%, IBU 35. Brewed with 100% local malts from Jæren, and Nectaron hops. Pale golden colour, large white head. Aroma of sweetish malts, flowers and honey. Soft and smooth mouthfeel. Malty flavour, moderate floral and herbal hops. Okay.

April 2021: 500 ml bottle, from Det Gode Brygg, Kvadrat. ABV is 4.7%, IBU 40. Nearly clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of lemons, grain and dust, only a hint of tropical fruits. Light bodied. Medium dry flavour with the same elements as the aroma, surprisingly moderate notes of tropical fruits. Fairly bitter finish.

November 2019: 330 ml can, from Helgø Meny Tasta Senter. ABV is 4.7%. Very pale straw colour, slightly hazy. Large white head. Strong aroma of floral hops, hints of citrus, wheat and honey. Citric and wheaty flavour, very refreshing. Moderate but noticeable hops.

November 2020: 500 ml can, from Holdbart, Klepp. Brewed at Arendals Bryggeri for Oslo Brewing Co. ABV is 4.7%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma, grassy notes. Citric flavour, quite crisp despite some residual sweetness. Moderate herbal hops in the finish. Better than I feared.

Malty aroma with hints of nuts and caramel. Malty flavour too, notes of roast nuts and a little caramel, burnt breadcrumbs, fairly distinct bittering hops in the finish.

440 ml can, as Monkey Brew Kepler Bayer, from Birk Bryggeriutsalg, Klepp. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy chestnut colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of malts and brown bread, hints of caramel, dark syrup and burnt breadcrumbs. The flavour is distinctly malty but not too sweet, with the same elements as the aroma, moderate to low bitterness.

330 ml can, as Monkey Brew Wormhole 5.0 NEIPA, from Birk Bryggeriutsalg, Klepp. ABV is 4.7%. Hops are Sabro, Citra and Galaxy. Hazy pale yellow colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits (pineapple and others) and sprucetips. The flavour has the same elements. Decent enough to drink, but I get a sense of deja-vu with a beer like this.

330 ml can, from Birk Bryggeriutsalg, Klepp. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy and very pale greenish-greyish-golden colour, small white head. Strong aroma of sweetish light malts and newmown grass. Citric mouthfeel and flavour, grassy notes, moderate herbal hops in the finish.

February 2022: 440 ml can, batch #336, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. "Dirty" yellow cloudy colour, moderate white head. Aroma of liquorice, hints of pumpernickel bread and some pine. Flavour of liquorice and citric hops, some lactose sweetness, sufficient malts, low bitterness. Something out the ordinary this one, debatable if it is perfectly balanced, but well worth sampling.
