500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.5%, IBU 25. Deep golden to orange colour, nearly clear. Small white head. Aroma of resinous and spicy hops, also notes of yellow stonefruits, some citrus. Moderate carbonation. The flavour is first sweet and malty with some caramel, followed by resinous and grapefruity bittering hops. Decent enough, but the balance is not optimal.

330 ml green bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 4.8%. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Fresh grassy and slightly citric and floral aroma. Crisp pilsener flavour (not too sweet) with well balanced herbal and slightly citric notes throughout. A very nice pilsener, no more, no less - and I feel no need to have a shot of Fernet Branca at the side. Might well drink this one again.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Clear reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Malty aroma and flavour, not too sweet, moderate earthy hops, fairly refreshing but not very exciting.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Aksdal. ABV is 10.0%. Opaque yellow colour, small and coarse white head. Aroma of citric, grassy, herbal and spicy hops. Hoppy flavour as expected, rich body but not too sweet. Flavour of grapefruit, pine needles and resin, hints of yellow stonefruits and tropical fruits, distinct bitterness in the finish and aftertaste.

Aroma of jam / orange marmalade and ripe berries, also hints of yellow stonefruits and coriander seeds. The flavour has a slight fruity acidity, with the same elements as the aroma, but is not too sweet. A discrete bitterness in the finish.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Aksdal. ABV is 8.0%. Opaque yellow colour, large to moderate white head. Lovely hoppy and fruity aroma, notes of crushed gooseberries, crushed white grapes and various tropical fruits. Flavour of lemon zest and pine needles, hints of said fruits but not too sweet, with a distinct bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Very good beer!

750 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.5%. Golden to orange colour, large white head. Aroma of brettanomyces / farmhouse, silage, spices, herbal hops and oaked cider. Dry flavour, the mouthfeel is fairly thin for its strength. Brettanomyces, malts, a hint of malt vinegar (but not really sour), herbal hops again. Nice enough to drink, but not quite in the league of trappists.

May 2020: 500 ml can, from Joker Vatlandsvåg. ABV is 2.4%. Hazy pale straw colour, pours fizzy with a large white head. Aroma of a grapefruit soda / pop. Mouthfeel is slightly "beery". Flavour of grapefruit soda / pop with a hint of hop bitterness in the finish.

750 ml green bottle, from the cidery. ABV is 8%. Pétillant-naturel. Apple varieties are Rubinstep, Aroma and Katja. Extremely pale straw colour, pours vigorously sparkling with a large but shortlived head. Lovely aroma of fresh eating apples, a hint of sulphites. Dry and crisp flavour, notes of apples and brut champagne, must be excellent with seafood, particularly salmon and trout.

330 ml bottle, batch #675, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.0%. Clear reddish amber colour, large head, slightly off-white. Aroma of caramel and brown kandij sugar syrup, grain and dust. Only a hint of orange peel. Smooth flavour, with the same elements, but the orange zest is slightly more distinct now. Moderately sweet, also fairly distinct earthy bittering hops in the finish.

Sweet flavour (from the alcohol, according to the brewery - they insist on the beer being dry), over-ripe fruits, slightly sour, alcohol. Whatever they have tried to do here, they have not been very successful.

Fairly refreshing. Contains 50% beer and 50% lemonade / grapefruit soda, which means that the beer alone must have been 9.4%, unless alcohol has been added to the blend.
