330 ml can, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 4.7%. Nearly clear pale golden colour, small white head of poor retention. Aroma of orange peel, wheat and coriander seeds. Citric mouthfeel. Flavour of citrus / orange peel and coriander seeds, hints of banana and cloves. Fairly refreshing.

330 ml can, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. Pink to peach colour, small off-white head of poor retention. Aroma of raspberries, cranberries and lactic acid, hints of spices. Mouthfeel and flavour of fruity acidity, not too sweet, with the same elements as the aroma. The spices are very moderate, and the hops seem to be non-existant. Still fairly refreshing.

March 2020: 330 ml can, from the brewery. Gluten free. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of grapefruit and pine. Flavour of citric hops, hints of pine. Soft and easy drinking.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 5.4%. Golden to orange colour, large white head. Moderate aroma of banana and cloves, a weird hint of broth in the background. Refreshing wheaty flavour, not very sweet, notes of grain with a hint of cloves. A slight acidity (possibly not intended?). Clearly drinkable, but the Germans do this style better.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Hazy golden to orange colour, large white head. Moderate aroma of tropical fruits, esp. papaya, hints of mango. Well balanced flavour, good malty backbone, with fruity hops and a decent bitterness.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Golden colour, moderate white head. Fairly distinct aroma of mango, and mango essence. The flavour is not too sweet, but has a distinct fruitiness of mango. I thought the "mango craze" in the brewing world was nearly over now, but apparently it is not quite dead yet ...

375 ml green bottle, batch #1303, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 4.5%. Very pale golden colour, small white head. Aroma of brettanomyces / farmhouse, white wine vinegar, crushed green gooseberries and whitecurrants. Very sour flavour, with the same elements as the aroma, also lemony notes.

330 ml can, on my flight with Norwegian from London Gatwick to Stavanger. Allegedly "specially brewed" for this airline. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, large white head. Typical dry-ish session IPA with American hops in aroma and flavour, tolerable bitterness - not bad, but oh so predictable. There are just too many of these "session IPAs" on the market. One-dimensional, but clearly drinkable.

375 ml green bottle, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 4.5%. Very pale straw colour, pours sparkling with a small and shortlived white head. Aroma of brettanomyces / farmhouse, sour plums and lemons. Fairly sour flavour, brettanomyces, plums and lemons again. Astringent finish. Quite nice.

Shared 750 ml bottle at Bryne tasting, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.5%. Very pale straw colour, sparkling. Aroma of pears. Flavour of pears, semi-dry. One-dimensional, needs more pear varieties (including sweet dessert pears and bitter perry pears) to obtain more complexity.

Shared bottle at Bryne tasting. Deep golden colour, small white head. Moderate aroma of malts and a little hops, not unpleasant, a hint of juniper. Decent flavour, medium dry, a hint of juniper, nice hops.

330 ml can, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Brewed at Arendals Bryggeri. Slightly hazy golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Decent hoppy aroma, notes of Seville oranges and dried apricots, some pine too. Flavour of bitter oranges, grapefruit and pine needles.

440 ml can, batch #273, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy and very pale straw colour, moderate white head. Aroma of spicy witbier yeast, orange peel, coriander seeds and citric hops. Light bodied. Citric and spicy flavour with the same elements as the aroma, quite dry, fairly bitter aftertaste.

440 ml can, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Hazy and very pale yellow colour, large to moderate white head. Aroma of kveik, yellow plums and over-ripe peaches, some citric hops. Fizzy, citric and thin mouthfeel. Flavour of citric hops and yellow plums, fairly distinct bittering hops in the finish.

330 ml bottle, batch #96, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Gusher bottle, insanely overcarbonated. 1/3 of the content left the bottle before I had a chance to pour. The glass fills completely by beige foam, and the black beer appears only very slowly. Moderate aroma of roast malts and wild yeast. Thin and slightly acidic mouthfeel. Flavour of roast malts and coffee, dry. Some bittering hops in the finish. This batch should have been withdrawn from the market.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Hillevåg. ABV is 8.0%. Opaque dirty yellow to orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of mango, guava and peaches. Citric mouthfeel. Flavour of said fruits, lactose, oatmeal and citric hops. Too much of the good stuff, really, and a bit too far out on the sweet side. Still nice to drink.

375 ml clear bottle, from Vinmonopolet Hillevåg. ABV is 8.56%. Pale golden colour, pours moderately sparkling with a shortlived white head. Pleasant aroma of Norwegian winter apples. Equally pleasant flavour of sweet dessert apples.

March 2019: On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Cloudy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma of fruity, piney, herbal and spicy hops. The flavour is quite dry, with citrussy hops first, followed by herbal, spicy and piney notes. Moderately bitter finish.
