440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 5.8%, IBU 30. Very dark brown to black colour, large to moderate tan head. Aroma of roast malts and chocolate, hints of mild coffee. Smooth flavour, roast malts, chocolate and mild coffee again, also a hint of caramel, but not too sweet. Moderate bittering hops in the finish. Well balanced and easy drinking.

500 ml can, from Joker Vatlandsvåg. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma and flavour of RedBull, which is a drink I only consume when I am desperate. As a beer, this is terrible. Not totally undrinkable, though.

750 ml clear bottle, batch #20220121, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.01%. Crystal clear and very pale straw colour, pours sparkling with a shortlived white head. Nice aroma of Rubinstep apples, hints of sulphites. Semi-dry flavour, notes of apples, again a hint of sulphites.

500 ml can, from SPAR Jørpeland. ABV is 4.7%. Nearly clear golden colour, moderate to small white head. Pleasant floral and herbal aroma of Saaz hops. Fairly crisp flavour, herbal hops again, moderate bitterness in the aftertaste. There has been many disappointments from Mack during the last few years, but this beer is not bad at all.

500 ml can, as Nøgne Ø Classic Premium Lager, from SPAR Jørpeland. ABV is 4.7%. Deep golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Strong sweetish aroma of flowers, jam, yellow stonefruits and tropical fruits. The flavour is not quite as sweet as the aroma made me expect, but the mouthfeel is good for its ABV. Well hopped throughout, fruity with a medium bitter finish.

Herbal aroma (of the flowers of meadowsweet and rosebay willowherb, which both are part of the recipe here), also notes of brown malts, Bitter herbal flavour, sharpish finish, interesting more than really good.

Nov. 2020: 500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.5%, IBU 30. Very cloudy straw colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of citrus, hints of tropical fruits. Sweet flavour (too sweet), notes of said fruits and pine, seems strangely unbalanced, fairly bitter finish. I am not convinced that this "raw" idea is the way to go for Nøgne Ø. Won't buy again.

Aroma of roast malts, chocolate and some caramel. Roast malts in the flavour, not too sweet, notes of dark chocolate, sharpish bittering hops in the aftertaste.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Hazy yellow colour, moderate white head. Fruity aroma and flavour, fairly dry, spicy hops. A quite nice beer.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Brewed with redcurrants and sour cherries. Clear red colour, off-white head. The aroma and the medium sour flavour are as expected dominated by redcurrants and sour cherries, not too sweet, quite nice and refreshing.

On tap at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal, Stavanger. Black colour, tan head. The aroma and flavour reveal that there is a very decent and basic imperial stout underneath here, so what is the point with the mango? I suspect that it is here just because it is considered "fashionable" (the moderate addition of chili I can understand - sort of). Well, the moderate mango does not taste bad - it just does not bring anything of value to the beer. Still, the beer is very drinkable.
