Sweet flavour but not cloying, notes of moderately roasted malts and loads of caramel, also hazelnuts and hints of chocolate, very moderate hops. Nice to drink.

330 ml clear bottle, from Vinmonopolet Sauda, shared with my son. ABV is 5%. Moderately hazy sharp red colour, moderate pink head. The aroma has loads of lactic acid, sour cherries and cherry kernels / marzipan. Very sour flavour, loads of lactic acid again, hints of lemons, but also distinct notes of sour cherries.

500 ml bottle, batch #2571, from Vinmonopolet Sauda. ABV is 5.5%, IBU 25. Slightly hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of pilsener malts, honey and newmown grass. Crisp pilsener flavour, not too sweet, well balanced herbal hops.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6%. Pale golden colour, large to moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of malts, honey and newmown grass, hints of herbal hops too. The flavour is too sweet, notes of malt sugar, honey and herbal hops. Not bad though, but not a beer I'll buy again.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Deep golden to amber colour, moderate creamy head. Distinct aroma of bourbon, oak and vanilla. The mouthfeel is fairly light for its strength. Medium dry flavour, again with distinct notes of bourbon, oak and vanilla. Good beer, but demands that you like bourbon (I do). A little more hoppy bitterness would not hurt, though.

Aroma of passionfruit, pineapple and other tropical fruits, also notes of citrus and yellow stonefruits. Flavour also of said fruits, citrus up front. Medium bitter finish.

440 ml can, as Hogna Voyager 250, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 10.5%. Dark reddish brown colour, small beige head. Aroma of oak, bourbon, rye whiskey, caramel, dark dried fruits and vanilla. Oaky flavour, medium sweet, with the same elements as the aroma. Low bitterness. Good stuff.

330 ml can, as ELØ Humlestorm New England IPA, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Hops are Mosaic, Simcoe and Sorachi Ace. Hazy pale yellow colour, moderate white head. Aroma of citrus, lemongrass and tropical fruits. Citric mouthfeel. The flavour has notes of citrus, lemongrass and dill, fairly bitter finish. Easy drinking.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 11.4%. Moderately hazy reddish brown colour, no head. Aroma of fusel alcohols, molasses, oak and mediocre whiskey, a hint of vomit. Very moderate carbonation. Very oaky / woody and alcoholic flavour, not very sweet, with an unexpected sharp and unpleasant bitterness in the finish, totally unbalanced. Whatever they have been trying to accomplish here, it is very poorly executed. Drainpour - what a waste of money!

The flavour is ridiculously sour, lactic acid galore, nearly undrinkable, extremely sour lemons, difficult to point out the rhubarb, it is all just a sour mess. And there is way too much salt in this mess. Won't buy again, that's for sure.

Aroma of citric and spicy hops, with some less pleasant notes of broth and fart in the background. Fizzy mouthfeel, thin body. Flavour of moderate citric and piney hops, one-dimensional. Won't buy again.

The flavour is also malty and moderately sweet, notes of chocolate, mild coffee, black bread and a hint of liquorice, moderate hops. Not bad.

750 ml corked & caged bottle, Oude Kriek (season 19|20) Blend No. 75, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.3%. Hazy red colour, no head. Aroma of sour cherries, cherry kernels, farmhouse, oak and a hint of peat. The flavour has sour cherries, lemons and brettanomyces galore, also oak and a hint of peat.

"Artificial" strawberry aroma (despite being made with real strawberries), also hints of lactose and vanilla. Distinct strawberries / jam in the slightly sour flavor, also lactose and vanilla. Minimal hops.

The flavour is sweet and sour, with a distinct citric fruity acidity, yuzu zest and spicy yeast galore, also citric Galaxy hops.
