Dry and roasty flavour, roast malts and coffee, hints of liquorice and dark bitter chocolate, moderate bittering hops in the finish. Nice beer.

355 ml bottle, from Prima Beer, Hobro. ABV is 6.5%. Amber colour, moderate off-white head. Pleasant aroma of tropical fruits (fruity hops), hints of perfume and exotic woodwork, also spicy notes. Hoppy and moderately sweet flavour, notes of grapefruit as expected, but also earthy, spicy and herbal notes, with hints of blackcurrant leaves. Bitter aftertaste. Is this a blend of English and American hops?

355 ml bottle, as Anchor California Lager, from Fakta, Denmark. ABV is 4.9%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of malts and floral, herbal and fruity hops. The flavour is medium dry, well hopped throughout, with a fairly bitter aftertaste. A well made lager - simple, but decent.

Moderately sweet malty flavour, some herbal hops in the finish. Drinkable, but hardly a beer I'll buy again, even though it is cheap.

750 ml bottle, harvest 2021, from Vinmonopolet Etne. ABV is 7% (2020 harvest was apparently 7.5%). Very pale straw colour, pours sparkling with a moderate but shortlived white head. Pleasant and typical "spicy" aroma of Gravenstein apples. Semi-dry flavour of Gravenstein apples, thinner body than expected. A fairly nice cider though.

500 ml can, from SPAR Jørpeland. ABV is 4.7%. Cloudy yellow colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of mango and "citrus & tropical fruits" hops, a hint of spruce. Citric and slightly chewy mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Medium sweet and fruity flavour, mango again, grapefruit and pine / resin in the moderately bitter finish.

750 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6%. Reddish brown colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of oak, red wine, brettanomyces, red wine vinegar, hints of molasses and fusel alcohols. Very sour flavour, with the same elements as the aroma. Not worth the steep price.

330 ml clear bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.8%. Beautiful clear red colour, small off-white pinkish head dies instantly. Fairly decent aroma of red berries. Like all beers from this brewery, the flavour has plenty of lactic acid, but this one is not nearly as extreme as the other beers I've had from them. Notes of sour red berries, particularly redcurrants. As expected no flavour of malts and hops. Not undrinkable, but I will not waste any more money on beers from this brewery. Of the 11 beers I've had, none of them have tempted me to buy again.

Aroma of lactic acid and over-ripe red berries, esp. raspberries, hints of stale saltwater ponds. The flavour is way too sour, lactic acid galore, over-ripe and unfresh raspberries, some salt. Nearly undrinkable, drainpour for me.

Aroma of guava, papaya and other tropical fruits, hints of strawberries, citrus and spruce. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, but is not too sweet. A moderate bitterness in the finish.

Flavour of citrus and mango with some "artificial" notes, not too sweet, a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. Far from great, but not undrinkable when cold.

Like all beers I've had from this brewery, the flavour is way too sour, with lactic acid and vinegar galore, but at least there is some complexity here. Distinct notes of oak and blackcurrants.
