Dry and quite sour flavour with the same elements as the aroma, hints of white wine vinegar and apple cider vinegar.

Nice aroma, notes of Nelson Sauvin hops (crushed gooseberries and white grapes), also notes of mild spices and herbs. Citric and somewhat fizzy mouthfeel, light bodied as expected. The flavour has citrus and fairly distinct spices and hops.

April 2017: 750 ml green botlle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8%. Barrel aged dark beer, aged for 1 year in a red wine foudre. Black colour, moderate tan head. Strong aroma of red wine, oak, brettanomyces, roast malts. Malty flavour, slight roast, chocolate, lactose, distinct notes of red wine, brettanomyces and oak. Moderate hops. Very good beer.

Aroma of rooibos tea, pink peppercorns, rosehips, white wine, brettanomyces / farmhouse and oak. Slightly sweet and moderately sour flavour, with the same elements as the aroma. Very moderate hops.

The flavour is slightly dry, with notes of roast malts and coffee, hints of dark bitter chocolate. Also fairly distinct bittering hops (Target).

The flavour has also juicy notes of said fruits, with fairly distinct piney notes. The bitterness is noticeable but fairly moderate for an IPA, though.

The flavour is moderately sweet, with well balanced notes of chocolate, roast malts and mild coffee, hints of liquorice and earthy hops.

May 2018: 750 ml bottle, vintage 2017, from Vinmonopolet Jørpeland. ABV is 7.5%. Hazy pale golden colour, moderate white head. Beguiling aroma of spicy saison yeast, white wine oak barrels and lambic / brettanomyces / farmhouse. Moderately sour flavour, again notes of spicy saison yeast, oaked wine and brettanomyces, also lemons and distinct spicy hops. Excellent beer - expensive, but worth it.

The flavour is medium dry, with notes of sour and bitter cider apples, saison yeast and moderate hops, hints of grapefruit and tannins.

Smooth but rich flavour, notes of roast malts, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, oak. Noticeable bittering hops in the finish. An exquisite beer!

Rustic flavour with spicy saison yeast, brettanomyces, oak, moderate lactic acid, hints of lemons. Moderate bitterness. A very good beer!

Smooth flavour, mainly the same elements as the aroma, but not so much molasses, and not too sweet. Decent bittering hops. Nice to drink.

Aroma first of industrial European Strong Lager and alcohol, then perfumed notes of grapefruit take over. Sweetish flavour of grapefruit, some bitterness in the finish. Dull and uninteresting. Won't buy again.
