June 2013: Shared 750 ml green corked "champagne" bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgaard. Reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Moderate but nice aroma, malts, herbal hops and a hint of caramel. Harmonious flavour, not very sweet, herbal hops, highly drinkable. Better suited to accompany Christmas dinner than its sweeter Belgian counterparts.

Oct. 2015: 355 ml bottle, from the Danish importer. ABV is 4.0%. Certified organic. Pale yellow colour, small white head. Strong aroma of over-ripe mixed berries. Light bodied. Dry flavour, with discrete notes of mixed berries, hardly any bitterness nor any other sign of hops. Not a winner by me.

Oct. 2016: 650 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 9.7%. Dark brown colour, large beige head. Aroma of rich malts and fruity and earthy hops. Medium sweet flavour, malty first, followed by fruity hops and a very resinous and earthy massive bitterness.

Sep. 2016: 650 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 9.5%. Black colour, large tan head. Lovely aroma of roast malts, oak, oaked red wine, liquorice, chocolate, prunes, mild coffee. Slightly sweet flavour with the same elements as in the aroma, the roast malts, coffee and chocolate notes come forward stronger now, also hints of vanilla. Moderate hops (28.5 IBU). Warming mouthfeel. Excellent beer.

May 2019: 330 ml bottle, at Cafe Chic Oldschool, Hjørring. Served in Rochefort glass. Nearly red colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of ripe yellow fruits, some spicy yeast. Malty, spicy and fruity flavour, moderate hops. Good beer.

Dec. 2012: Shared bottle at local tasting. Hazy dark brown colour. Moderate malty aroma with a hint of smoke. Rich and pleasant malty flavour. This is a doppelbock, not a Belgian strong ale! Not very sweet though, and the high ABV is well hidden. Hints of salt and smoke.

The flavour has first a little fruit, but mostly grain, bread and wort, quite dry. Low bitterness. Well, they have tried, but this is not a beer I'll buy again.

Intense aroma of passionfruit, also notes of mango and other tropical fruits. Citric mouthfeel. Flavour of citrus and said fruits, noticeable and slightly metallic bittering hops in the finish.

Aroma of citrus, ripe yellow stonefruits, pineapple and mango. Citric flavour, also hints of other said fruits but not sweet, also sprucetips. Decent bitterness. Good beer, refreshing.

Malty flavour with moderate hops and some fruit, a little caramel but not too sweet, more like an English strong ale than an IPA. Nice enough to drink, though.

Aroma of sweetish malts, sea buckthorn berries and sweet gale / bog myrtle. The flavour is not as sweet as the aroma made me fear, fruity notes of sea buckthorn berries, fairly distinct notes of bog myrtle, minimal bitterness (hops are not on the ingredients list).

750 ml corked & caged bottle, as Le Brun Cidre Artisanal Brut Pur Jus Biologique, from Vinmonopolet Sauda. ABV is 5.5%. Clear golden to orange colour, pours moderately sparkling with a shortlived white head. Aroma of cider apples, dessert apples and oak, a hint of sulphites. Medium dry flavour - hardly "brut", there is still a substantial amount of residual fruit sugars. Otherwise the same elements as the aroma.
