Aroma of medium roast malts, burnt caramel, burnt breadcrumbs and hazelnut syrup. The flavour is better than expected, has the same elements as the aroma, also distinct bittering hops, not too sweet, all well balanced.

Aroma of brown kandij sugar syrup, caramel, Belgian ale yeast and dried figs. The flavour has the same elements, but is not too sweet. Hints of mild spices. Very moderate hops. Nice enough to drink.

The flavour is bitter and fairly sweet, notes of grapefruit and pine / resin again, also caramel and toffee. Hints of over-ripe stonefruits.

July 2016: RBESG 2016 in Barcelona. On tap at NaparBCN. Nearly black colour. Sweetish aroma of malts and molasses. The molasses flavour was WAY too sweet for me - at least in a setting like this, a multiple beers tasting.

Moderate aroma of Discovery Rosette apples. Medium dry flavour of said apples, some tannins and "spicy" notes, hints of alcohol and sulphites.

July 2016: 750 ml corked & caged green bottle, as Au Baron Cuvée des Jonquilles Blonde, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7%. Very pale golden colour, huge white head. Very nice fruity and spicy aroma. Slightly sweet, fruity and lightly spicy flavour, easy drinking and quite enjoyable, but a little more bittering hops would not hurt.

Clear and very pale straw colour, pours vigorously sparkling with a large but shortlived white head. Distinct aroma of Gravenstein apples, a hint of sulphites. Medium dry flavour of Gravenstein, some fruity acidity.
