5201 | Bernard Svìtlý Ležák 11° | Czech Republic | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.0
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 500 ml green bottle, as Bernard Lager, now available in Norway at REMA 1000 stores. ABV is 4.5%. Golden colour, moderate white head of poor retention . Fairly nice aroma of Zatec (Saaz) hops, notes of grass, hints of honey. The flavour is fairly malty for a pilsener, and the hops are slightly better than average. Moderately bitter aftertaste. |

5202 | Grans Juleøl Original Sterk (klasse F) | Norway | Bock | 2.3
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 4 330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Mahogany coloured beer, big and creamy beige head. The aroma has some malts and caramel, but most of all unpleasant notes of artificial "red berries" syrup. The flavour has some malts, but is first and foremost metallic, acidic and "empty". This is, par excellence, the worst Norwegian "klasse F" Yule/Christmas beer on the market. Close to belonging in the "drainpour" category, and certainly not something I would offer my guests with Christmas dinner. |

Fine roasted aroma with notes of chocolate, mild coffee and wood. Flavour of roasted malts and coffee, hints of chocolate and dark fruits. Decent bitterness in the finish. A well balanced porter, the best product from Inderøy so far. |

5204 | Inderøy Soddøl | Norway | English Pale Ale | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, brew #838, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Amber to brown colour, moderate off-white creamy head. The aroma has malts, some fruit, juniper, resin and hops. Fizzy mouthfeel, could have been fuller. The flavour has resin, some malts and moderate "dusty" / dry hops in the finish. Not bad, but probably better with "trøndersodd" than on its own. |

5205 | Inderøy Hommeløl | Norway | Bitter | 3.6
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, brew #830, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Deep golden to brown colour, slightly hazy, with a big head. The aroma has malts, some caramel, fruit and hops, also wood, juniper and resin, a hint of spices, maybe a faint hint of smoke too. The flavour is woody and resiny with decent hops, again with a hint of smoke. Has a flair of "traditional homebrew" this one. I like it! |

5206 | Inderøy Farmannsøl | Norway | Stout | 3.6
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, brew #834, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Black colour, big to moderate creamy greyish brown head. Nice roasted aroma with notes of chocolate and coffee, some cheesy and slightly acidic notes too. The flavour is moderately sweet and roasted with a certain fruitiness, notes of coffee as expected. Ashy dry finish. Could have been better, could have been worse. |

5207 | Inderøy Kvamsholmer | Norway | Kölsch | 3.3
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Brew #840. ABV is 4.5%. Pale golden colour, fairly clear, just a faint haziness. Big to moderate white head. Aroma of artificial "banana candy" (not very pleasant), also notes of honey, coriander and cloves. Fizzy mouthfeel. Like others have said the flavour is very estery and "wheat beer"-like, notes of coriander, cloves and banana (but not too much), refreshing and not too sweet. Moderate hops in the finish. |

5210 | Ægir Julebrygg 6,0% (green label) | Norway | English Strong Ale | 3.9
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Cloudy very dark brown colour, big to moderate creamy tan head. Nice aroma of malts, Christmas spices, brown sugar and some fruit. The flavour is malty sweet and rich with moderate notes of spices, dark dried fruits and brown sugar. There is a subtle acidity to balance the sweetness, but the hops are moderate. This is a very nice Yule/Christmas beer, will go better with fruit cake than the traditional Scandinavian Christmas dinner. |

5211 | Inderøy Nisseøl | Norway | Dunkel / Dark Lager | 3.5
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, brew #8/6, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Dark brown colour, big and creamy beige head. Nice malty sweetish aroma with loads of caramel and fresh bread, also some fruity notes. The flavour is also malty with some bready notes, hints of caramel but not really sweet, moderate hops. Some fruity notes in the finish. Hints of resin in the aftertaste. Has not really got anything to make it stand out as a Yule/Christmas beer, but it is a nice and drinkable dunkel nevertheless. |

5212 | Brunehaut Abbaye de St-Martin Cuvée de Noël | Belgium | Belgian Strong Ale | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet). ABV is 8.5%. The beer starts pouring out of the bottle by its own will. Dark chestnut coloured beer, hazy when the yeast is poured in the end. Moderate beige head. Strong aroma of anise, "Christmas" spices and liquorice. The flavour has again notes of anise and various "Christmas" spices. Not too sweet. The alcohol is well hidden. Nice beer, but should not be your first choice if you hate anise. |

5213 | Taybeh Golden | Palestine | Pale Lager | 2.6
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ’Palestinian’ beer brewed and bottled in Belgium, licence held in Germany (Haus der 131 Biere). ABV is 5.2%. Crystal clear very pale yellow colour, big white head. Sweetish industrial pale lager aroma, grassy and fruity notes. The flavour is moderately fruity and slightly sweet with minimal hops, boring but not undrinkable. |

5215 | Abbaye de Floreffe Double | Belgium | Abbey Dubbel | 2.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.3%. Very dark brown colour, big beige head. The aroma has some unpleasant notes of stale chocolate and stale berries, also notes of anise. The flavour is moderately sweet and slightly fruity with notes of anise and malts. The anise seems entirely misplaced in a dubbel. This is not a beer for me. |

Very moderate aroma, weak notes of hops and grain, hints of toffee and biscuits. The flavour has decent hops on a slightly sweet base of moderate malts, with a hint of caramel. 5223 | St. Peters Honey Porter | United Kingdom | Porter | 3.3
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml bottle, bought at Vaaland Spesialbutikken, Bryne. ABV is 4.5%. Very dark reddish brown colour, moderate creamy beige head. VERY strong aroma of honey, also notes of caramel and syrup. Creamy mouthfeel. The honey dominates the flavour too, but it is not quite as sweet as I feared. Notes of coffee and cough syrup, with a moderate hoppy bitterness in the finish. St. Peter's Brewery has better beers than this one! |

|
5224 | St. Peters Grapefruit Beer | United Kingdom | Fruit Beer | 3.7
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 500 ml bottle, as St. Peter's Fruit Beer Grapefruit, bought at Vaaland Spesialbutikken, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Deep golden colour, moderate white head. Strong and pleasant aroma of grapefruit, also moderate notes of malts and toffee. The flavour is zesty with plenty of grapefruit, also a distinct hoppy bitterness in the finish. I love notes of "grapefruit" in a beer when they are caused by American hops, but actually adding grapefruit flavouring to the beer might mean a bit too much of the good stuff. Still, this is a refreshing and very drinkable beer, which requires that you have a crush on grapefruit to be really enthusiastic about it. |
