Juicy and zesty flavour, some sweetness but not too much, with the same elements as the aroma, moderate bitterness. Dangerously drinkable for its strength.

Aroma of mild spices, yellow fruits (esp. plums) and white kandij sugar syrup. Moderately sweet flavour, yellow fruits again, also white kandij sugar and hints of mild spices. Pleasant to drink.

Citric flavour, malts and yellow plums in the background, hints of kveik and resin, moderate bitterness. Fairly nice beer.

The flavour is fairly complex, malty and slightly yeasty with notes of caramel, also distinct citric, spicy, piney and earthy hops.

The flavour has fairly distinct caramel, but is not too sweet. Also notes of brown bread and nuts. Low bitterness. Not bad, but not exceptional.

750 ml bottle, from Helgø Meny Stokka. ABV is 4.5%. Slightly hazy and very pale straw colour, huge white head. Very strong and distinct aroma of herbal hops and newmown grass, hints of yeast. Smooth mouthfeel. Distinct notes of herbal hops in the fairly dry flavour too. This is a well hopped pilsener indeed.

Citric flavour (bitter oranges, lemon and grapefruit), not too sweet despite the crystal malts. A good and resinous hop bitterness throughout, becomes quite sharp in the aftertaste.

500 ml can, as BrewDog Wingman Session IPA - The Eagle Has Landed, from Helgø Meny Stokka. ABV is 4.3%. Nearly clear and very pale straw colour, moderate to small white head. Nice aroma of citric hops. Light bodied as expected, smooth mouthfeel. Moderate citric hops in the flavour too, not much of a malty backbone though. An acceptable summer refreshment, no more, no less.

April 2022: 500 ml bottle, batch #706, from Helgø Meny Bogafjell. ABV is 4.7%, IBU 19. Opaque dirty yellow colour when the yeast is poured in, small and shortlived white head. Moderate aroma of wort, hints of citrus and coriander seeds. Soft mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Refreshing flavour of citrus (orange peel, lemon peel and grapefruit), hints of coriander seeds, low bitterness. Sufficient malty backbone.

September 2018: 330 ml blue bottle, from Helgø Meny Maxi, Sandnes. ABV is 0.5%. Hazy pale golden colour, moderate to small white head. The aroma has notes of lightstruck hops, wheat, baby porridge and citrus, a hint of vomit. Citric and thin mouthfeel. The flavour has some sweetness, with distinct and unpleasant notes of baby porridge and overcooked vegetables.

The flavour is sweet, malty and roasty, with notes of chocolate, sweetened coffee and treacle, but also interesting fruity notes of prunes, also oak and notes of spicy hops. Not bad this one.

500 ml bottle, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 4.6%. Clear and beautiful reddish brown (or brownish red) colour, moderate off-white head, nice lacing. Aroma of cherrywood smoked malts, hints of smoked salmon and smoked meat. The mouthfeel is surprisingly citric. Flavour of citrus, berries and smoked malts with an ashy dry finish, moderate bitterness. A good and unusual smoked Rotbier.

Typical wheaty Hefe-Weissbier aroma, with notes of banana and cloves. Flavour of wheat, citrus, banana and cloves, minimal bitterness. Refreshing.
