Up to 2017: 500 ml bottle, batch #991, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 4.5%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Fairly nice aroma of German(?) and/or Czech(?) hops, grassy and herbal notes. Bland flavour, dry and "dusty", easy to forget. 2018 onwards: 440 ml can, from Bunnpris Sauda. ABV is 4.5%, IBU 10. Hops are Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe and Eukanot. Malts are pilsener, wheat and oat. Very cloudy pale yellow colour, moderate white head. Aroma of various citrus fruits and tropical fruits. Fizzy and citric mouthfeel. Flavour of fruity (citric, tropical fruits) and piney hops, the bitterness is moderate, but seems higher than 10 IBU.

Aroma and flavour of roast malts and chocolate, hints of cherries and raspberries. Very sweet flavour, too sweet for me, really - even if this is a sipping beer and not a refreshment beer. Hints of liquorice. The flavour is also fairly alcoholic.

The flavour has also notes of mango and distinct piney / resinous hops, with a distinct bitter finish. The mango nearly drowns in the bitterness.

500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark, probably at Voldby Købmandsgaard. ABV is 5.4%. BB date 20.07.13. Hazy orange colour, large white head. Smells a bit "off", sweetish notes of malts and caramel, only hints of banana and cloves. The flavour is somewhat better, malty character, not too sweet, but again the typical hefeweizen notes of "banana & cloves" are very subdued. Lacks some of the "freshness" of a better hefeweizen, Might buy a fresher bottle at another occasion, to re-rate.

The flavour is more dry than sweet, but has still hints of caramel sweetness. Decent English hops throughout, with earthy notes and a good bitterness.

Not my cup of tea.

The flavour is moderately sweet, malty and biscuity, again with notes of chocolate and vanilla. Hardly any noticeable bitterness.

Distinct and boozy aroma of roast malts, bourbon whiskey, oak, vanillin / vanilla, cocoa / chocolate, coconut and cinnamon. Moderate carbonation. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma. Low bitterness, a bit more would be a good idea. Warming throatfeel.

Re-enter old rating that disappeared mysteriously: Had this beer in a pub just outside Glasgow Queen Street Station - I think it was cask, but might have been keg. Colour was fairly dark for a bitter, brownish. Aroma had indeed notes of "old fart" (sulphur), but the flavour was fairly malty and quite pleasant. The name probably alludes to the target group for this beer (old farts), a group I am now proud to be part of!

The aroma has notes of toffee, malts and some fruit. The flavour is more malty than hoppy, with toffee and blackcurrant notes, but not very sweet. Moderate hops in the finish. This is hardly an IPA by any stretch of the mind, but a fairly decent premium bitter. Very drinkable.

I don’t know what makes this a "double" stout, but it is nice enough to drink anyway.

Earthy, woody and spicy aroma, also hints of blackcurrants. Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour is quite dry, again with earthy and woody notes, and a spicy and hoppy medium bitter finish. Would buy again, and drink it fresher.
