375 ml green bottle, batch #1303, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 4.5%. Very pale golden colour, small white head. Aroma of brettanomyces / farmhouse, white wine vinegar, crushed green gooseberries and whitecurrants. Very sour flavour, with the same elements as the aroma, also lemony notes.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Golden colour, moderate white head. Fairly distinct aroma of mango, and mango essence. The flavour is not too sweet, but has a distinct fruitiness of mango. I thought the "mango craze" in the brewing world was nearly over now, but apparently it is not quite dead yet ...

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Hazy golden to orange colour, large white head. Moderate aroma of tropical fruits, esp. papaya, hints of mango. Well balanced flavour, good malty backbone, with fruity hops and a decent bitterness.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 5.4%. Golden to orange colour, large white head. Moderate aroma of banana and cloves, a weird hint of broth in the background. Refreshing wheaty flavour, not very sweet, notes of grain with a hint of cloves. A slight acidity (possibly not intended?). Clearly drinkable, but the Germans do this style better.

March 2020: 330 ml can, from the brewery. Gluten free. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of grapefruit and pine. Flavour of citric hops, hints of pine. Soft and easy drinking.

330 ml can, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. Brewed for Omnipollo at De Proefbrouwerij in Belgium. ABV is 4.4%. Pale golden colour, large to moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of pilsener malts, flowers and newmown grass, hints of herbs and honey. Slightly sweet flavour with pilsener malts and herbal hops, a fairly distinct bitterness in the finish.

440 ml can, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 4.7%. Clear and beautiful reddish brown colour, large off-white to beige head. Moderate aroma of brown malts and brown bread, a hint of caramel and nuts. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, with a slight roast and moderate bittering hops in the finish. Well balanced and easy to drink.

330 ml can, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. Pink to peach colour, small off-white head of poor retention. Aroma of raspberries, cranberries and lactic acid, hints of spices. Mouthfeel and flavour of fruity acidity, not too sweet, with the same elements as the aroma. The spices are very moderate, and the hops seem to be non-existant. Still fairly refreshing.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Opaque yellow to orange colour, white head. Aroma of guava and papaya, a hint of strawberries. Flavour with the same elements, some lactose sweetness, and a fairly bitter finish. Good beer.

330 ml can, as Berentsens Pale Ale Tørrhumlet, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 4.7%. Hazy orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of malts, oranges and slightly piney hops. The flavour is fairly dry and fruity, with sufficient malts, and a moderate grapefruity and resinous bitterness in the finish. Refreshing and decent enough, easy drinking.

750 ml corked & caged bottle, batch #01, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, moderate carbonation, small and shortlived white head. Moderate aroma of apples and hops. Slightly dry and crisp flavour with a nice fruity acidity of apples, the apple flavours are nicely balanced with the hops. A hint of sulphites. Pleasant to drink.

750 ml clear bottle, capped but with swingtop for resealing. From Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7%. Clear rosé to orange colour, pours sparkling with a shortlived white head. Aroma of raspberries and redcurrants more than apples, barely a hint of hops. The flavour has also dominant raspberries and redcurrants, with apples in the background, a hint of hops in the finish. I prefer the ordinary Aga Humlepung.

330 ml bottle, batch #011, as K.Aa.B. Sylfiden Brut IPA, from Bunnpris Sauda. ABV is 4.7%. Moderately hazy pale golden colour, large white head. Strong sweetish aroma of candy, newmown grass, sweet maize and rice pudding, hints of yellow stonefruits. Slightly citric and fizzy mouthfeel. Medium dry flavour, grainy notes, herbal hops, fairly distinct bitterness in the finish. Not a bad beer, but hardly one to remember.

330 ml stubby bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.8%. Hazy deep brown colour, moderate off-white to beige head, poor retention. Aroma of pale chocolate malts, thin coffee, chocolate and a hint of orange zest, but less than expected. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavour with the same elements as the aroma, not too sweet, the orange notes are more distinct now, moderate bittering hops in the finish. Not bad, but could have been better.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 4.9%. Depending on the light, the hazy colour goes from golden to orange to pale brown. Moderate white head. Pleasant sweetish and wheaty aroma, notes of flowers, oranges, banana and cloves. Smooth mouthfeel. Refreshing wheaty flavour, again notes of oranges, banana and cloves, a slight bitterness in the aftertaste.

500 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.6%. Black colour, moderate tan head. Aroma of lightly roasted malts, dark chocolate, mild coffee and chili peppers, a hint of blueberries. Relatively light bodied. The flavour is slightly on the dry side, with the same elements as the aroma, a very moderate burn from the Scotch Bonnet peppers. Low bitterness.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6%. Gusher can, overcarbonated. Deep red colour, large pink head. Distinct aroma of blackberries and cherries, hints of lactic acid. The mouthfeel is fizzy and a bit watery. Moderately sour flavour of cherries and blackberries, low bitterness.

440 ml can, as Seven Island Sunday Stack, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 12%. Brewed for Seven Island at Sori Brewing, Estonia. Black colour, small tan head. Intense sweetish and sickening aroma of "artificial" dark berries, vanilla, lactose and fatty roasted nuts. Warming and cloying mouthfeel. Ridiculously sweet flavour, but a fairly distinct fruitiness helps the drinkability a lot. Notes of blueberries, blackberries, a shitload of lactose, maple syrup, chocolate, caramel, vanilla and roasted nuts. Low bitterness. Might have been a reasonably good beer if they had not killed it with lactose and maple syrup.
