330 ml bottle, from SPAR Jørpeland. ABV is 4.5%, IBU 20. Overcarbonated, my slim pilsener glass fills completely by white (or slightly off-white) foam, a hazy and brownish-golden beer appears only very slowly. Unusual aroma of tea and lemon juice. Fizzy and citric mouthfeel. Dry and weird herbal flavour of tea, hints of lemon rind. One of the least successful beers I've had from Nøgne Ø.

Feb. 2015: Shared bottle at local tasting. Black colour, moderate to low tan head. Strange and unpleasant aroma of solvent and dandelion roots, also dust and wet basement. The flavour is not particularly good either, dry and dusty with notes of stale cold coffee. Remarkably poor.

330 ml slimline can, from SPAR Jørpeland. ABV is 4%. Clear pale golden colour, moderate to small white head. Strong sweetish aroma of malt sugar and newmown grass. Crisp and refreshing mouthfeel. The flavour is citric, grassy and fairly crisp, but still with some residual sweetness, very moderate herbal hops in the finish. Better than I feared.

Aroma of peaches and papaya, a hint of meat stock and sweat. Medium sweet flavour, peaches and papaya again, a moderate piney bitterness in the finish.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 7.0%. Pitch black colour, large to moderate tan head. Aroma of molasses / dark syrup, ginger, custard, chocolate, vanilla, pastry / bakery. The flavour is medium sweet, not quite as extreme as I feared, with the same elements as the aroma, also fruity notes of prunes. Low bitterness.

440 ml can, as Vocation Special Edition Toucan Tropic DDH IPA, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 6.7%. Moderately hazy yellow colour, moderate to small white head. Moderate aroma of tropical fruits and citrus. The flavour has a lot more going on, distinct notes of various tropical fruits, also citrus, yellow stonefruits and pine needles. Moderate sweetness, very well balanced and enjoyable.

Aroma of pineapple, peaches and various tropical fruits, a hint of sprucetips. Fruity flavour with the same elements, also citrus and hints of pine needles, moderate bitterness. Good beer.

440 ml can, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 3.5%. Hazy yellow colour, moderate white head. Nice aroma, notes of Nelson Sauvin hops (crushed gooseberries and white grapes), also notes of mild spices and herbs. Citric and somewhat fizzy mouthfeel, light bodied as expected. The flavour has citrus and fairly distinct spices and hops.

500 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.4%. Pale yellow colour, only slightly hazy. Moderate to small but lasting white head. Aroma of citrus, hints of tropical fruits and oatmeal. Good mouthfeel for its ABV. Citric flavour, again hints of tropical fruits and oatmeal, with a nice and fairly distinct piney bitterness in the finish.
