Sweet and sour flavour, distinct lactic acid, also distinct apple juice, fudge and butter, lactose sweetness, minimal hops. Weird beer, but not undrinkable.

Aroma of lychee and other tropical fruits, some malts. Nice citric flavour, notes of lemongrass and Belgian ale yeast, hints of dill and lychee. Not very bitter.

330 ml bottle, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 8.3%. Moderately hazy straw colour, huge white head. Sweetish aroma of glucose syrup, Belgian ale yeast and mild spices / spicy hops. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements, more distinct hop bitterness than in most Belgian strong pale ales, but well balanced.

330 ml longneck swingtop bottle, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 6.0%. Brown colour, large off-white head. Aroma of malts, earth, blackcurrants, dark bread, herbs and spices. The flavour has the same elements, some caramel too, but is not too sweet. Decent bitterness. Overall an excellent beer.

Nov. 2014: 500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.5%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of fresh German aromatic hops, notes of flowers, newmown grass and herbs, sweetish hints of honey. The flavour has a moderate sweetness, and subtle German hops throughout. With slightly less alcohol (4.8 / 4.9% in a normal helles), this would be a nice beer for the summer months - there is not really anything very wintery about it, except for the snowy label and slightly higher ABV.

Feb. 2015: 330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar,Stavanger. ABV is 5.2%. Hazy pale golden colour (I shook the bottle vigorously to get all the sediment dissolved, which almost certainly enhances the flavour), large white head. Aroma of newmown grass and herbs, a hint of citrus. The flavour is fresh, wheaty-like and citrussy, very refreshing. Some herbal hops, but not very bitter. A great summer beer!

April 2015: On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Beautiful dark ruby colour, moderate off-white head. Fairly strong and pleasant aroma, notes of malts, caramel and bakery / Danish pastry, also hints of fruit and English malt vinegar. Malty flavour with caramel and baked goods, but not overly sweet. The bitterness is low, as typical for the style. Pleasant to drink.

Medium sweet flavour, citrussy first, again with notes of banana and cloves. Very moderate hops, as normal for the style. Nice and refreshing to drink.

Pleasant aroma of bakery and caramel (both brown bread and Danish pastry), hints of dark dried fruits. Sweet and malty flavour, caramel, dark dried fruits and Danish pastry. Luverly!

Strong and pleasant aroma of banana and cloves, also caramel and fresh brown bread. The flavour is not too sweet, but has some caramel, also citrus, brown bread, banana and cloves again. Low bitterness, as normal for the style. Very refreshing.

Sweetish aroma of pilsener malts and grassy and floral hops, hints of honey. Smooth flavour, some sweetness, floral hops, low bitterness, a little citrus and honey.

750 ml clear bottle, from the cidery. ABV is 7.5%. Clear and pale golden colour, nearly still cider. Pleasant aroma of Norwegian apples (Aroma, Rubinstep, Katja and Discovery), a hint of sulphites.Dry and crisp flavour of said apples, some tannins in the finish.

500 ml bottle. as Thisted Limfjords IPA (Overgæret Baltic IPA), from BilkaToGo, Skalborg. ABV is 6.5%. Very dark brown to black colour, large to moderate tan head. Aroma of roast malts, chocolate, mild coffee, piney hops. Flavour with the same elements, also citric / grapefruity hops, good bitterness. Pleasant to drink, would buy again.

Sweetish aroma of malt sugar, citric hops and "orange" and "peach" candy. The flavour is medium sweet, with the same elements. A slight bitterness in the finish.

500 ml bottle, as Frejdahl Fulla IPA, from BilkaToGo, Skalborg. ABV is 5.7%. Nearly clear golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of piney, floral and herbal hops, a hint of Wiener sausages(!). Light bodied. Citric flavour, hints of lime and green gooseberries. Moderate bittering hops. Drinkable, but not very exciting.
