330 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. ABV is 4.6%. Brown colour, big to moderate cream-coloured head. Sweetish malty aroma, notes of toffee, caramel and marmalade. The flavour is moderately malty and nutty with "dusty" notes, hints of caramel and brown bread, but it is not very sweet. Very moderate hops, not much of an aftertaste. Fairly boring, but otherwise not unpleasant to drink.

500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark (Føtex or SuperBest, Aalborg). ABV is 6.6%. Cloudy dark brown colour, big to moderate creamy head. Lovely aroma of American hops, notes of citrus, fir tree forest and flowers, also notes of caramel malts. Refreshing flavour, the hops dominate with notes of resin and grapefruit, but there is also a noticeable sweetness of caramel malts. Some hints of roastiness and chocolate too. Fairly bitter finish. Good beer!

350 ml bottle, bought at Systembolaget, Sweden. ABV is 7.2%. Deep golden to orange colour, big off-white head. Lovely aroma of citrussy, herbal and piney American hops, hints of caramel too. Intense flavour of hops, piney and grapefruity notes, distinct bitterness, but I can live with it. Some malty sweetness too. Not bad!

330 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. ABV is 1.7%. Ingredients include liquorice, sugar and colour E150c (also barley malts and hops). Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Moderate beige head. Malty and sugary aroma, notes of brown bread, caramel and dust. The flavour is malty and very sugary / syrupy, extremely sweet, notes of caramel. Too far out on the sweet side for me.

The flavour is roasty with notes of coffee, hints of liquorice, dark chocolate and burnt toast. Some fruity notes in the background. Distinct bitter finish, both from the hops and the roasted malts.

Very nice fruity aroma (ripe berries), also strong notes of bakery and lightly toasted malts.The flavour is more roasty than the colour and aroma made me expect, notes of burnt breadcrumbs. Not entirely pleasant.

The aroma has notes of Belgian ale yeast (spicy and fruity), white candi sugar and fruity and flowery hops. The flavour is sweet, spicy and well hopped, very drinkable for its strength. Spicy and moderately bitter finish.

Very nice roasty aroma with notes of chocolate and coffee, hints of liquorice. Fresh mouthfeel with hints of fruity acidity. The flavour is roasty with notes of coffee, fairly dry. A pronounced roasty and hoppy bitterness in the finish.

Moderate aroma of malts, caramel and dust. The flavour is very malty and sugary sweet, notes of caramel and Danish pastry. No bitterness.

500 ml bottle, bought at Føtex Aalborg. Organic, ingredients include wheat malt and spelt malt - and blueberries, of course. ABV is 5%. Pale golden brown colour, huge head, slightly off-white. Sweetish aroma of malts, blueberry jam, caramel and butterscotch. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is fruity (blueberries) and fairly refreshing, but is suffering from a lack of hops. Bland finish.

500 ml retro-style bottle, from REMA 1000. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of cooked vegetables, hints of pilsener malts, honey and flowers. Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour had some sweetish and "dusty" malts, hints of wet cardboard, unpleasant citric and slightly metallic finish. Hardly any bitterness. Utterly bland and boring, most of it went down the sink. Not a beer I’ll buy again - ever. An insult to any lover of fine beer.

500 ml bottle, 2009, bought at Systembolaget. ABV is 5.3%. Copper colour, big to moderate off-white head. Sweetish aroma of oranges and spices (cinnamon, ginger and cloves). The flavour is not as sweet as the aroma made me fear, there is some sweetness but it is not overdone. Notes of said spices again, noticeable hops in the finish . The beer is fairly light bodied and drinkable, not too bad.

500 ml bottle, bought in Sweden. ABV is 0.5%. Golden colour, slightly hazy, huge white head. The aroma has some hefeweizen notes of banana and cloves, but also hints of the more typical n/a beer notes like over-boiled vegetables and baby porridge. Not quite as bad as many other n/a beers, though. The mouthfeel is thin, as expected. The bland flavour has some weak notes of citrus and wheat malts, hardly any noticeable hops.

330 ml bottle, bought in Sweden. ABV max. 0.5%. Crystal clear very pale yellow colour, big white head. Typical n/a beer aroma of baby porridge and over-boiled vegetables. Moderate carbonation in the glass, soft mouthfeel. The flavour has also the usual n/a beer "over-boiled" character. However, there are noticeable hops, also hints of citrus, making the beer a tad better than "undrinkable". Very far from "good", though.

The "perfumed" aroma has notes of ripe dark fruits, woodwork, chocolate and mild coffee, hints of smoke. The flavour is well rounded and mellow for its strength, notes of dark malts with only a slight roastiness, hints of prunes, dark chocolate and mild coffee, moderate hops and a touch of smoke and juniper in the finish. Very drinkable. I wouldn’t mind having this served in my "gravøl", but as I won’t be able to sample it there myself, I’d better drink some more now!

The flavour is distinctly hoppy from start to finish, "bitter" - well yes indeed, but not "brutal". Fairly dry, a more pronounced maltiness would not hurt. Still, a very pleasant and drinkable beer as it is.

The aroma has moderate notes of malts and dust. The flavour has an acceptable presence of malts, but there is nothing "extra" about the amount of hops. Still, a tolerable bitterness in the finish and aftertaste.

The aroma has first a fresh "skunky" whiff when opening the bottle, then the usual n/a beer notes of over-boiled vegetables and baby porridge. Also some sweetish notes of candy, hints of grassy hops. Fairly thin mouthfeel, as expected. The flavour is moderately citrussy and grassy, making the beer quite drinkable and refreshing - for a n/a beer, that is. Hints of hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. Could have been worse.

Moderate hops in the finish. Dangerously drinkable for its strength!
