4626 | Kulmbacher Mönchshof Maingold Landbier | Germany | Kellerbier | 3.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml swingtop bottle, from Rewe Getränkemarkt, Erding. ABV is 5.4%. Very pale yellow colour, big to moderate white head. Fairly nice sweetish aroma of pilsener malts and grassy hops. Light bodied. The flavour has some malty sweetness and moderate German hops in the finish - nothing remarkable here, but still a fairly well made and drinkable beer. |

4627 | BrewDog Nanny State (0.5%) | United Kingdom | Reduced Alcohol | 2.8
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 4 330 ml bottle, from the n/a selection of Vinmonopolet. ABV is 0.5%. Amber colour, big head, slightly off-white. Lovely aroma of fruity and piney American hops. Thin moutheel. The flavour is all American hops throughout, with a very pronounced bitterness in the finish - 45 IBU sounds not shockingly high, but with a beer this thin, it is. The aftertaste is too bitter and medicinal. |

4628 | BrewDog Hardcore IPA (Second Edition) | United Kingdom | Imperial IPA | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Batch 62, ABV is 9.2%. Orange colour, big to moderate off-white head. Very nice aroma of fruity (mainly citrussy) and piney American hops. Also notes of crystal or caramel malts. The flavour has loads of piney hops throughout, with a substantial bitterness, on a fairly sweet malty background. Hints of tomcat. Not "well balanced", but what do you expect from an imperial IPA? |

4630 | Schloßbrauerei Grünbach Greabecker Urweisse Hell | Germany | Hefeweizen | 3.6
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, as Schlossbrauerei Grünbach Greabecker Urweisse Hell, bought at Rewe Getränkemarkt, Erding. ABV is 5.3%. Cloudy brownish-yellow colour, huge and lasting white head. Strong typical hefeweizen aroma of banana and cloves, also other undefined spices. The flavour has moderate notes of banana and stronger notes of cloves / other spices, but is drier than many other hefeweizens, and the moderate hops in the finish are actually noticeable. A bit too much carbonation in the mouth for my taste, but otherwise a nice h.w. |

4632 | Leikeim Original Landbier | Germany | Kellerbier | 3.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml swingtop bottle, bought at Rewe Getränkemarkt, Erding. ABV is 5.4%. Crystal clear (filtered?) pale yellow colour, big to moderate white head. Very moderate carbonation in the glass and mouth. Aroma of grassy hops. The flavour has some malty sweetness, some grassiness and a substantial hoppy bitterness, while the alcohol shows an unexpected presence for a 5.4% beer. God knows what makes this a Landbier - it looks and tastes more like a filtered Dortmunder Export to me. Anyway, drinkable it is. |

Mahogany coloured beer, big off-white to beige head. Strong sweetish malty aroma, notes of bakery / brown bread, caramel and syrup. Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6 On tap, or possibly poured from bottle, at the Erdinger brewery. ABV is 2.9%. Aroma and flavour much like the "ordinary" Erdinger Weissbier, only lighter in character in all aspects. Surprisingly decent for such a light beer, much better than the Erdinger Alkoholfrei. |

Deep copper to brown colour, big beige head. Strong sweetish aroma, notes of raisins and dark dried fruits, oak, fortified wine, caramel and brown sugar. The flavour is very sweet and vinous, with basically the same elements as in the aroma. Moderate hops in the finish. Good, but sweet enough to make one small glass enough for one sitting. The 500 ml bottle is for sharing! |

The flavour is extremely intense, loads of tar, very strong coffee, oak and smoke. The honey is barely noticeable. Quite bitter, with an ashy finish. Not for the faint of heart. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 4 On tap at the Faroe Islands tent at the ONS fair, Stavanger. Served too cold for a Classic, but I fear a slightly higher temperature would not have helped much. Brown colour, moderate creamy white head. The aroma has notes of grassy hops, hints of caramel. Bland flavour, dry and "dusty", just a hint of caramel but not very sweet. Very moderate hops in the finish. |

Sweet and roasty flavour, notes of strong coffee, dark and pale malts (with a good deal of residual sugar) and dark syrup, with a distinct hoppy and roasty bitterness in the aftertaste, hints of English liquorice. Regard it as an atheist product or as a gift of God - this is under any circumstance a mighty powerful beer! |

Moderately roasty aroma, notes of mild coffee, chocolate and fennel seeds, possibly other undefined spices too. Rich and creamy mouthfeel. The flavour has notes of pumpernickel bread (no surprise!), fennel seeds, coffee and dark chocolate, hints of liquorice. An impressive, well made and tasty beer, but (if anything) I would perhaps recommend going a bit easier on the fennel seeds. |
