4426 | Bohemia Regent Super Výcepní Svetlé Pivo 11 | Czech Republic | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, as Bohemia Regent Super Výčepní Světlé Pivo 11. ABV is 4.6%. Will probably be made available in Norwegian grocery stores. Golden colour, moderate white head. The aroma has honeyish and floral notes of Saaz hops, also pilsener malts. The flavour has a fairly decent balance between the malts and hops, some sweetness but not too much, reasonably bitter finish. A decent pils, no more, no less. |

4427 | Beer Here Black Cat | Denmark | American Black Ale | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger, ABV is 4.7%. Very dark brown colour, big beige head. Nice aroma of fruity and grape-like Nelson Sauvin hops, some roasty notes too, hints of dark chocolate. Refreshing flavour, mostly due to the hops, but there are also distinct and dry roasty notes, hints of ashes in the finish. A decent enough beer, but I am still not convinced that the recently invented combination of fruity hops and dark roasty beer is the best idea ever. |

4428 | Boon Kriek | Belgium | Fruit Lambic | 3.6
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 375 ml green "champagne" bottle, vintage 2009, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4%. Ingredients include 25% cherries, sugar and sweetener. Beautiful red colour, big pink head. Lovely aroma of preserved cherries and cherry candy. The flavour is of course also dominated by cherries, but is neither as sweet nor as sour as I expected. Pleasant to drink, but the finish may feel a bit "empty". |

4429 | Primátor Lezák Svetlý Exkluziv 16° | Czech Republic | Strong Lager | 3.2
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml bottle, ABV is 7.5%. Will probably be imported to Norway soon. Deep golden colour, big white head. Aroma of malts with a hint of caramel, also floral hops, a hint of honey. The medium sweet flavour is moderately malty with some honeyish notes, a hint of caramel again. The alcohol is noticeable, but not as disturbing as in some Scandinavian lagers of this strength. Medium bitter hops in the finish. |

4431 | Phoenix Special Brew | Mauritius | Strong Lager | 2.5
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 Can, kindly shared by abemorsten. ABV is 6.5%. Golden colour, moderate head. Very moderate pale lager aroma, but not offensive. Standard pale lager flavour, nothing offensive here, tolerable hops. I guess I could survive on this in Mauritius. |

4432 | Berliner Kindl Weisse Waldmeister | Germany | Berliner Weisse | 2.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 Bottle, kindly shared by abemorsten. ABV is 3.0%. Signal green colour, low white head. Almond essence / marzipan aroma. Sour flavour with strong notes of almond essence / marzipan. Weird. The otherwise refreshing sour flavour does not blend in well with the sweetish marzipan elements. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Bottle, kindly shared by abemorsten. ABv is 4.5%. Golden colour, hazy at the end of the bottle. Moderate white head. Very nice aroma of fruity hops. Distinct hoppy flavour throughout, feels more bitter than its 30.4 EBU. Could use a little more malts for balance, but is very nice as it is. |

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 Bottle, kindly shared by abemorsten. ABV is 6%. Black colour, moderate to low beige head. Pleasant and harmonious aroma of coffee, chocolate and dark dried fruits, hints of oak. Flavour of coffee without being too "heavy", pleasant to drink (but demands that you like coffee). A very enjoyable beer. |

4445 | El Gaitero Sidra Extra (Etiqueta Oro) | Spain | Cider | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 750 ml "champagne" bottle, as El Gaitero Sidra Extra, from Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget. ABV is 4.8%. Crystal clear very pale yellow colour, pours very fizzy with a big white head that actually lasts a minute. Strong and a bit sharp aroma of sulphites and cider apples. The flavour is medium sweet, with clean notes of both cider apples and sweet eating apples. Just a hint of sulphites in the background. Easy drinking. |

4446 | Coors Light | United States | Light / Lite Lager | 1.7
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 330 ml bottle, now available in Norway. Hurrah. ABV here is 4.5%. Crystal clear pale yellow colour, big to moderate white head. Weak grassy aroma, not unpleasant though. The beer is wet and cold, with minimal flavour, just a little sweetness. No aftertaste. The good thing is that there are no offensive off-flavours - just plenty of Rocky Mountain water ... |

4447 | Grans VM Øl | Norway | Pale Lager | 1.7
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 500 ml can, from REMA 1000. ABV is 4.7%. Will probably be retired tomorrow, due to "illegal alcohol advertising" on the can. That’s Nanny State Norway for you. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish and sugary aroma, some grassy notes too. Fizzy mouthfeel. Sweetish, sugary and boring flavour, very moderate bitterness. Won’t be missed. |

4448 | Carlsberg Non-Alcoholic | Sweden | Reduced Alcohol | 2.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 3 330 ml green bottle, from REMA 1000. ABV is 0.5%. Crystal clear pale yellow colour, moderate but lasting white head. Heineken-like "skunky" and grassy aroma, which is a good thing, compared to other n/a beers. Sweetish notes of pilsener wort too. Thin and watery mouthfeel, as expected. Very moderate flavour, a little sweetness, a little hops. The good thing is: there are no really offensive off-flavours. If you have to drive, this beer might help you avoid dying of thirst. |

4449 | Lervig Kissmeyer & Murphy Smoked Baltic Porter | Norway | Baltic Porter | 3.5
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 On tap, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Black colour, big beige head. Strong aroma of smoked meat / bacon, also roasty notes. The flavour has also strong smokey notes, and moderate roasty notes. A bit too much "smoked meat" for my taste. Not very sweet. A "German Rauchbier meets Baltic Porter"-experience. |

4450 | Lervig Talisman Explore Me IPA | Norway | IPA | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7 Bottle conditioned, at Cardinal’s "Onsdag i Annen". ABV is 4.7%. An unusual IPA, fermented with half-and-half witbier yeast and lager yeast. Has not been lagered. Contradictory information: Hops are either Chinook all the way, or EKG finished with Cascade. Cloudy golden colour, moderate white head. Catty and citric aroma. Citric and piney flavour, very nice, but a more pronounced "malty backbone" would be desirable. Still very enjoyable. |
