Pleasant and well balanced aroma of malts, brown kandi sugar and fruity hops, also distinct spicy notes. The mouthfeel is maybe a bit thin, and the beer is not very sweet. The flavour has some notes of brown malts and toffee, and the hops in the finish are very moderate. Easy drinking and undemanding.

Fairly nice moderate aroma, some funky and fruity notes, also notes of dust and damp basement. The flavour is moderately funky and fairly alcoholic, medium bitter hops in the finish. Not bad, but from Mikkeller you expect something better than this.

Sweetish aroma of syrup, farmhouse yeast and rotting fruits / stale berries. High level of carbonation in the mouth. The flavour is better than the aroma, medium sweet and moderately spicy, decent hops in the finish. Quite nice to drink, should also go well with many foods.

The aroma has the expected notes of coffee and dark chocolate, but also fruity and vinous notes. The flavour has strong roasty notes, coffee and dark chocolate again, but also some fruity notes in the background. Nice one.

Nice roasty aroma, notes of coffee, hints of dark chocolate and herbs. Good creamy mouthfeel. The flavour is distinctly roasty and spicy, but the ginger is not burning. Notes of coffee and dark chocolate again, good bitterness in the finish. Some ashes and wood in the aftertaste. This must be one of Holbæk Bryg’s better beers.

Pleasant sweetish aroma of mixed red fruits and berries. Sweet flavour of red fruits and berries again. Not much here to remind you that this a beer, but if you want a fruit drink with little alcohol, this one might be good enough.

Moderate aroma of apple juice, also some "dusty" and wheaty notes, a hint of cloves. Medium sweet flavour of apple juice mixed with wheat beer (cause that is what this beer actually is), just a hint of cloves, no bitterness. Refreshing, but not very interesting.

Strong and beguiling aroma of peaches and peach candy. Sweet flavour (too sweet) with notes of canned peaches in light syrup. Not much else than the foamy head here to remind you that this actually is a beer. Still a a tolerable refreshment when you want a fruit drink with little alcohol.

Fairly rich flavour, malty with spicy notes, also notes of brown kandi sugar and caramel, but the beer is not too sweet. Also notes of dark dried fruits. Quite enjoyable.

The flavour is definitely on the hoppy side side, but there is also enough malty sweetness to back it up. Herbal character, some honeyish notes too. Good bitterness in the finish, but not too much. Clearly a pils well above average.

Lovely aroma of hops, heavily roasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate, hints of vanilla. The flavour has an intense bitterness from start to finish, both from the hops and the roasted malts - too much hoppy bitterness for mye taste, as it overshades the finer tones of 8 different malts. Also burnt notes, and notes of too strong coffee. Not enough sweetness to balance the bitterness. Ashy aftertaste.

500 ml can. Pale yellow colour, pours very fizzy with a big white head. Sweetish and sugary aroma, some grassy notes too. Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour is not quite as bad as I feared, there are some bittering hops here, becoming metallic in the end. Not a beer I’ll buy again, though.

750 ml "champagne" bottle, vintage 2008, from Vinmonopolet (bestillingsutvalget). ABV is 7%. Pale yellow colour, pours very fizzy with a big white head that soon disappears. Typical aroma of oxidised cider apples and sulphites. The flavour is very dry and crisp, oxidided cider apples again, slightly astringent finish, moderate sulphites. Does not feel as strong as it actually is. Must be good with food.

"Dusty" and uninteresting aroma. The flavour has at least a hint of hops, so it could be said to be more interesting than Corona and Sol. Refreshing on a hot day.

Soft and pleasant mouthfeel. The flavour has notes of oak / wood and mild spices, hints of smoke, a decent hoppy bitterness in the finish. Smoke in the aftertaste.

500 ml bottle, from REMA 1000. ABV is 4.7%. Lade Gaards Brygghus does not exist, this is another fake "craft beer" brewed by Norway's crappiest brewery, Grans. Copper coloured beer, big cream-coloured head. Fairly nice aroma of butterscotch and caramel, hints of spices. Thin mouthfeel. The flavour has a slight acidity which seems totally misplaced in a dunkel, also notes of brown bread and caramel, but the beer is not vey sweet. Very moderate hops. Not much to write home about, but as this is Grans, it is still one of their "better" beers.

Fairly well balanced flavour, not too sweet, the alcohol is not intrusive, decent hops in the finish. Very drinkable for its strength.
