4176 | Amager Rugporter | Denmark | Rye Beer | 3.6
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 At Copenhagen Beer Festival. Black colour. Moderate roasty (coffee) notes in both aroma and flavour, hints of rye bread. Drinkable, absolutely nothing wrong with it, but as this is Amager, I expected something even better. BTW, we brewed a homebrew porter last year with exactly the same ratio of rye malts in it, and thought it was better than this. Did not taste them side by side, though - and we might have been slightly biased, or slightly drunk ... |

4177 | dEcaussinnes Ultramour | Belgium | Fruit Lambic | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Sample from bottle, Copenhagen Beer Festival. Brewed with cherries, strawberries, raspberries and lemon. Hazy amber to brown colour. Intense / extreme sweetish fruity aroma. Extremely fruity flavour, very (but not cloyingly) sweet. The lemon ensures some freshness in its character. |

4178 | dEcaussinnes Ultra Delice | Belgium | Belgian Strong Ale | 3.3
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Sample from bottle, Copenhagen Beer Festival. Amber colour, some chill haze. Sweetish and spicy aroma. The flavour is not quite as sweet and spicy as expected, and the beer is fairly drinkable. Maybe not my favourite beer for daily indulgence, but a nice change-of-pace beer. Will buy again when I can find it. |

4179 | Castelain Jade | France | Biere de Garde | 2.9
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 Sample from bottle at Copenhagen Beer Festival, as Jade Bière Blonde. I did not take note of the brewery, but thought it was Belgian - but might well be mistaken. I hope I’m rating the the right beer. Pale golden colour. This is an ordinary pilsener / pale lager with a little malts in aroma and flavour, and a slight acidity in the finish. Drinkable, but nothing special. |

4180 | Tenute Collesi Imper Ale Maior Nera | Italy | Abbey Dubbel | 2.9
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 Like all beers from this brewery, it comes in a very stylish bottle. The content of the bottle is not equally impressive. Sample at Copenhagen Beer Festival, from a new bottle. The guy in the bar rolled the bottle vigorously, to get the maximum flavour out of the sediment. I’m not sure that this was such a good idea. Murky brown appearance, low head. Moderate aroma and flavour of "dusty" malts and a little hops, hints of a slight ashy roastiness. Not undrinkable, but very boring - and not something I will buy again. |

4181 | Herslev Aspargesøl | Denmark | Spiced Beer | 3.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 At Copenhagen Beer Festival. Cloudy golden colour. Aroma of asparagus! Flavour of citrus and asparagus, hints of cloves. A fun experiment, but I’m sorry - I’d rather have a bowl of asparagus soup with an "ordinary" wheat beer at the side. |

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 On tap at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Brewed with Cuban vintage rum, raisin syrup and bourbon vanilla. Chestnut colour, creamy off-white head. Strong and rich aroma of said ingredients, very nice. Rich mouthfeel. Distinct and fairly sweet flavour of rum-raisin. A nice change-of-pace beer. |

4184 | Gordon Xmas | Belgium | English Strong Ale | 3.8
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 330 ml bottle, from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen. ABV is 8.8%. Mahogany coloured beer, large off-white head. Malty aroma, notes of caramel, but also some fruity and spicy notes. Gordon / John Martin are known for some pretty sweet beers, so I braced myself to tolerate an enormous sweetness. Well, their Xmas is sweet, but not more than I’m able to handle. Very rich and malty flavour, notes of caramel, dark dried fruits and mild spices. The sweetness is to some degree balanced by moderate hops in the finish. Not a beer to go with Christmas dinner, but excellent to savour on its own, or with Christmas cookies, chocolate and fruit. Will buy again, if I can find it for Christmas. |

Distinct hoppy flavour, piney, resinous and fruity, not too sharp. Quite decent. Original rating: At Copenhagen Beer Festival. Amber colour. Moderate aroma of American hops. Medium sweet flavour with distinct notes of American hops, becoming rather sharp in the finish. A fairly decent IPA. |

4190 | Det Lille Bryggeri Humlemord High and Low | Denmark | IPA | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, from Ølbutikken (or was it Høkeren?), Copenhagen. ABV is 3,6, IBU 101, OG 1038, FG 1010. Hops are Magnum, Hersbrücker, Cascade and Willamette. Some sediment in the bottle. Hazy golden colour, large white head. Strong sweetish aroma of fruity (tropical fruits incl. passion fruit), floral and grassy hops. Light bodied and refreshing. The flavour is a hoppy explosion from start to finish, with fruity (esp. grapefruity) notes. Very bitter (too bitter?) aftertaste, nearly medicinal. |

4191 | Hornbeer Hophorn | Denmark | American Black Ale | 4.0
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 At Copenhagen Beer Festival. Very dark brown to black colour, moderate tan head. Both aroma flavour have a nice balance between the roasted malts and the resinous and fruity hops. Well behaved, despite is high IBU. Highly drinkable, very good. |

4192 | Hornbeer Caribbean Rumstout | Denmark | Imperial Stout | 3.7
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7 Cask at Copenhagen Beer Festival, gravity dispense. Black colour, no head nor carbonation. Strong aroma of rum and oak / vanilla. The flavour is quite oaky, again with strong notes of rum and vanilla. Quite enjoyable, and would no doubt be better with a little carbonation. |

4193 | Croocked Moon Lawnmower | Denmark | Lager | 3.4
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 On tap at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Pale yellow colour. Distinct aroma of American hops. Very dry and light bodied. The hopping may not be extreme per se, but with such a light body, it seems pretty extreme. A "lawnmower beer" should be light bodied, but this one would probably be more refreshing with a more subtle hopping. Still, way above the tasteless swill most people choose as "lawnmover beers". |

4194 | København Armstrong | Denmark | IPA | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7 On tap at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Deep golden colour. Aroma more of caramel and toffee than hops, not unpleasant though - just a bit unexpected in an IPA. However, there are more hops in the flavour, which is quite nice. Fruity notes, hints of apricots, ending in a decent bitterness. Very drinkable. |

4195 | Fanø Lynghvede | Denmark | Spiced Beer | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 At Copenhagen Beer Festival. Unfiltered. Brewed with heather flowers, lavender and chamomile flowers. Hazy yellow colour. Moderate aroma of said flowers/herbs. The flavour is very mild, with only a moderate presence of the above. I think I would have skipped the lavender, used more heather, and added a little more hops. Still, it is always nice when brewers dare to use some of the many fine wild growing herbs we have in Scandinavia. |

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 At Copenhagen Beer Festival. ABV was listed as 7.5%. Dark brown colour. Aroma and flavour of coffee, vanilla and cinnamon, well balanced. Very enjoyable - a beer I’d be happy to drink at the Yuletide. Well, at any time of the year, actually. |

4199 | Ölvisholt Fósturlandsins Freyja | Iceland | Witbier | 3.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 On tap at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Pale yellow / whitish colour. This is supposed to be some kind of witbier, including the traditional ingredients coriander and orange peel - but it is just too modest on everything. Very light bodied, and refreshing enough, without any unpleasant off-flavours. Allegedly "brewed to honour Icelandic women" - I think Icelandic women would have deserved something with more flavour than this. |

4200 | Svaneke Double Brown Ale | Denmark | Brown Ale | 3.2

Hazy brown colour, moderate head of good retention. Aroma of brown malts and caramel, also some fruity notes. The flavour is first fruity and refreshing, followed by distinct notes of brown and lightly roasted malts, some caramel. Moderately bitter aftertaste. Could have been better, could have been worse. |
