4064 | Föroya Bjór Ekta Maltøl | Faroe Islands | Reduced Alcohol | 2.6
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 4 500 ml clear plastic bottle, from a grocery store in Vestmanna. No ABV mentioned on the label, and yeast is not mentioned as an ingredient, but if the locals say it is 1.8%, so be it. At least it contains malts and Bavarian hops (and sugar). Dark brown colour, minimal beige head. Strong sweetish aroma of malts and caramel, a hint of smoke and seaweed. The flavour is very malty and very sweet, like a Danish hvidtøl, with loads of caramel. Good enough to drink if you have a sweet tooth, and have to drive ... |

4065 | Okkara Portari/Porter (5.8%) | Faroe Islands | Porter | 3.5
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, from the brewery store in Velbastaður, where you are allowed to buy single bottles. ABV is 5.8%. Dark brown to ruby colour, nearly black. Moderate beige head. Roasty aroma, notes of cold coffee, distinct smoke and ashes, hints of liquorice. Relatively light bodied. Dry roasty flavour, some smoke, too moderate hops, hints of liquorice. Not bad, but could have been better. |

4066 | Okkara Ljósa | Faroe Islands | Reduced Alcohol | 1.7
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 330 ml bottle, from a grocery store in Klaksvik. ABV is 2.6%. Antioxidant E300 and E223 added. Golden colour, low coarse white head. The aroma has notes of pilsener wort and citrus. Medium dry flavour, light bodied of course, boring, but some hints of malts and hops make the beer not undrinkable if you have to drive. Sourish finish. |

4068 | Mack Brown Ale | Norway | Brown Ale | 3.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 6.0%. Brown colour, huge off-white head, some sediment in the bottle. Fruity and sourish aroma with farmhouse notes, nearly gueuze-like, quite pleasant. The flavour is fruity and slightly sourish, possibly infected, but the beer is still not ruined for me. Distinct bitterness in the finish. Not your usual brown ale, but drinkable. |

4069 | Kaiserdom Kellerbier | Germany | Kellerbier | 2.3
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 500 ml can, unfiltered, from Dagli’brugsen Skødstrup, Denmark. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, large white head. Malty and grainy aroma, sweetish notes of baby porridge. The flavour is also malty and grainy, but not too sweet. Drinkable when cold. However, both aroma and flavour are nearly void of hops. What the hell - is there a hop shortage in Germany now? |

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Brewed by Anders Kissmeyer at Lervig Aktiebryggeri, Stavanger. On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Lovely aroma of New Zealand hops (Nelson Sauvin, Riwaka?), hints of gooseberries and tropical fruits. Fairly light bodied, like a pilsener should be. Hoppy flavour throughout, fruity notes, not too bitter. An excellent refreshment. |

4071 | Saint-Germain Page 24 Blanche | France | Witbier | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 750 ml swingtop bottle, from Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget. ABV is 4.9%. Some sediment in the bottle, I turned it upside down. Hazy pale yellow colour, huge white head. Strong aroma of wheat ale yeast, notes of coriander and cloves, hints of citrus and banana. The flavour is wheaty and moderately yeasty, notes of coriander and cloves again, while the orange peel is very subdued. Noticeable but very moderate hops. Very refreshing. |

4072 | Theresianer Pale Ale | Italy | English Pale Ale | 1.9
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Vika. ABV is 6.5%. Golden colour, large to moderate head. Aroma and flavour of unhopped pilsener wort, cooked vegetables and baby porridge. Remarkably bad and boring. The Norwegian importer has apparently decided to import the entire Theresianer range without tasting all the beers first. This one (and the Bock) is not something I would buy again. Ever. |

4073 | Theresianer Vienna | Italy | Vienna / Amber Lager | 2.8
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Vika. ABV is 5.3%. Deep golden to amber colour, large white head. Moderate aroma of malts and caramel, a hint of chicken manure(!). The flavour has also some malts and caramel, and is otherwise bland and boring, nearly void of hops. |

4074 | Mikkeller Spontanale | Denmark | Gueuze | 3.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 375 ml green bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 5.3%. Golden colour, large white head. Gueuze-like aroma with notes of farmhouse, horseblanket, oak and white wine vinegar. The flavour is dry and vinegary, with some oaky notes, stale hops in the peppery finish. Drinkable, but Cantillon does this better! Won’t buy again. |

4075 | Ørbæk Fynsk Forår | Denmark | Spiced Beer | 3.4
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, from Rúsan, Torshavn. ABV is 5%. It’s ironic that I had to go to the Faroes to finally buy this - I have passed it in numerous Danish supermarkets, under the delusion that I already had rated it. Well, here we go: Pale golden colour, slightly hazy, moderate to low white head. Grassy and floral aroma, but the elderflowers are not distinct. Refreshing and pleasant flavour, citrussy and floral notes. Low bitterness. Wheaty character, hints of cloves. Not a real masterpiece, but nice and drinkable on a fine summer’s day. |
