3903 | Thisted Høst | Denmark | Extra Special Bitter | 3.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 Shared bottle, as Thisted Høst, RBNAG 2011. ABV is 6.0%. Amber colour, moderate head. Nice malty aroma with notes of toffee, caramel and some butterscotch, hints of ripe berries. The moderate flavour has the same elements as the aroma. |

3907 | Père Magloire Cidre Pays d´Auge | France | Cider | 3.3
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Shared large corked bottle, brought home from France by my son Steinar. ABV is 4.5%. Golden colour, pours very fizzy with a large but short-lived head. Strong aroma of cider apples and oak, hints of sulphites. Moderate carbonation in the glass. Medium sweet flavour of cider apples and eating apples, hints of oak and sulphites. Père Magloire may be best known internationally for their Calvados, but apparently they make decent ciders too. |

3908 | Meantime Yakima Red | United Kingdom | Amber Ale | 4.3
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 500 ml bottle, at Olympen, Oslo. Beautiful reddish colour, large to moderate off-white head. Lovely complex aroma of American hops, notes of various fruits, hints of spices. Delightful hoppy flavour, well balanced with the malts, notes of red fruits / berries, blackcurrants and blackcurrant leaves, extremely drinkable. Great with a mutton dinner, or alone. A "school example" of English subtlety paired with American quality hops in a moderate ABV "session" ale. |

3909 | Inderøy Stut | Norway | Foreign / Extra Stout | 4.0
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 500 ml bottle, at Olympen, Oslo. ABV 6.4%. Pitch black colour, moderate tan head. Surprisingly moderate aroma, some roasty notes, hints of coffee and liquorice. The flavour is definitely roasty with notes of coffee, fairly dry. Smooth and pleasant to drink, will buy again. Inderøy’s best beer so far. |

3918 | Saku Originaal | Estonia | Pale Lager | 2.7
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 Rerate 500 ml bottle, from a potential importer. ABV is 4.6%. Very pale yellow colour, large white head. Fairly strong sweetish and grassy aroma. The flavour is rather sweet, again with some grassy notes, and the bitterness is too moderate. Far from undrinkable, though. |

3919 | Egils Premium | Iceland | Lager | 2.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 3 500 ml can, as Egils Premium Export, from Rúsan, Tórshavn. ABV is 5.7%. Pale golden colour, large white head. Moderate sweetish "industrial" aroma, hints of wet cardboard. The flavour is first medium sweet, some acidic fruity notes, hints of cardboard again, some bitterness in the dry and dusty finish. No masterpiece this one. |

3920 | Mort Subite Xtreme Kriek | Belgium | Fruit Lambic | 3.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 250 ml bottle, from Carrefour, Cartagena, Spain. ABV is 4.3%. Lambic brewed with 10% cherries and elderberries, sugar and sweetener. Gusher bottle. Red colour, moderate pinkish-white head. Intense aroma of preserved cherries and cherry candy. The flavour is intensely sweet and fruity, notes of cherry candy, but not very sour. Hints of marzipan. Good in its own perverted way - there is not much here to remind you that this actually is a beer, though. |

3921 | Carmen | Spain | Blonde Ale | 3.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 330 ml bottle, from Carrefour, Cartagena. ABV is 4.8%. Cloudy golden to brown colour, low white head. The sweetish aroma has notes of ripe and over-ripe fruits and berries, hints of farmhouse homebrew. Spritzy carbonation in the mouth. Medium sweet flavour with fruity notes and moderate hops, again hints of traditional homebrew. Not great, but could have been worse. |

3922 | Carmen Ecológica | Spain | Blonde Ale | 3.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 330 ml bottle, from Carrefour, Cartagena. Organic. ABV is 5%. Hazy yellow colour, considerably paler than the ordinary Carmen. Moderate white head. Aroma of yeast and over-ripe fruits. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is wheaty, light and refreshing, hints of citrus, moderate hops. Not too bad. |

3923 | Voll-Damm (Doble Malta) | Spain | Marzen / Oktoberfest | 2.8
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330 ml can, bought in Spain. ABV is 7.2%. Golden colour, large white head. Decent floral aroma, hints of malts and some fruit. Low carbonation in the mouth. The flavour is sweet, malty and alcoholic, hints of honey, some bitterness in the finish. Too sweet for me, really, but not undrinkable. I drank it at cellar temperature, possibly slightly better if colder. |

3924 | Nøgne Ø Kjell Pop Double Hop IPA | Norway | IPA | 3.9
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger, as Nøgne Ø Double Hop IPA. ABV 6.5%, 60 IBU. Hazy orange to amber colour, large off-white head. Nice aroma of citrussy and piney American hops. The flavour is distinctly hoppy with piney and grapefruity notes, but not extreme. Moderate malts in the background, not too sweet. Very good. |

3925 | Inderøy Gildets Mjød | Norway | Mead | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml shared bottle, at "Onsdag i Annen", Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. So far not available in the pub’s ordinary selection. ABV is 10%. Fairly pale and slightly milky colour, moderate carbonation. Aroma and flavour have notes of honey, like any mead should, but this is still the driest mead I’ve had. Distinct herbal and spicy notes in both aroma and flavour. Mouthfeel reminiscent of rough cider. Alcohol is evident. The relatively dry character makes this mead more drinkable than the intensely sweet and uncarbonated ones, but I’d still prefer to share the bottle with one other person. |
