3801 | Ename Blond | Belgium | Belgian Ale | 3.7
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV 6.5%. Pale yellow colour, high level of carbonation, large white head. Lovely and "typically Belgian" aroma with complex spicy notes, hints of fruit. The refreshing flavour has mild spicy notes, and is not too sweet. Moderate hops in the finish. I'm quite ready for another one. |

3802 | Meantime Union | United Kingdom | Vienna / Amber Lager | 3.4
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Vika. ABV is 4.9%. Amber colour, large head, slightly off-white. Strong sweetish aroma of malts and stale orange marmalade. The flavour is not too sweet, biscuity and hoppy notes, hints of caramel and some fruit. Not too bad, but I think Meantime preferably should stick to ales. |

3803 | LoverBeer BeerBera | Italy | Wild Ale | 3.4
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 375 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Vika, brewed 2010. ABV is 8%. Cloudy dark red colour, pink head disappears completely after a minute. Strong and intense vinous aroma, notes of red wine vinegar, oak and farmhouse. The flavour is also vinous, tart and medium sour, oaky notes. Very moderate hops. Does not taste as strong as 8%, nor by my own buzz-o-meter. |

3804 | Nøgne Ø Julesnadder (2011) | Norway | Belgian Ale | 2.9
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. 2011 version with Belgian yeast. Batch #704B. ABV is 4.5%. Cloudy brown colour, large beige head. Sourish aroma, infected? Also strong woody and ashy / smoked notes. The flavour is somewhat better than the aroma, quite dry, again strong woody notes, hints of ashes. Some roasted malts and hops in the finish. Seems overall unbalanced. Thin mouthfeel. Drinkable, but this is Nøgne Ø, and you expect something better than this. Won’t buy again (not untill a better version - hopefully - is released next year). |

3805 | Theresianer Premium Pils Non Filtrata | Italy | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 750 ml bottle from Vinmonopolet (bestillingsutvalget), the unfiltered version of Theresianer Premium Pils. ABV is 5%. Very pale yellow colour, slightly hazy. Moderate but lasting white head. Strong aroma of grassy and herbal hops and sweetish pilsener malts. The flavour is fairly crisp and refreshing, not too sweet, with decent herbal hops again. Not bad. |

3806 | Theresianer Premium Lager | Italy | Helles / Dortmunder | 2.9
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6 330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet (bestillingsutvalget). ABV is 4.8%. Clear pale yellow colour, moderate white head. Aroma of sweetish pilsener malts and grassy and herbal hops, hints of honey. Reminds me much of their Premium Pils. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is crisp and not too sweet, still with a nice and subtle maltiness, while the the hops are more subdued than in the Premium Pils. An easy-drinking helles. |

3807 | Belfast Bay Lobster Ale | United States | Amber Ale | 3.4
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 355 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV in Norway is 4.7%. Copper coloured beer, large to moderate off-white head. Strong aroma of caramel and treacle, some fruity hints too. The mouthfeel is fairly light. The flavour is moderately malty with notes of caramel, but is not very sweet. Some roasted malts and fruity hops in the finish. I don’t know why this particular beer was chosen for import to Norway, but it is nice enough to drink. Just not America’s best, though. |

3808 | Dos Equis XX Amber | Mexico | Vienna / Amber Lager | 2.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.5%. Copper to amber colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma, some fruit, grass and caramel. The flavour is at least more malty than the Especial, a little fruit and caramel again, but is otherwise rather bland and boring, with minimal hops. |

3809 | Dos Equis XX Special Lager | Mexico | Pale Lager | 2.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 Rerate, 330 ml green bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.5%. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. The aroma has maize and some fruit, not unpleasant. The flavour is (well, what flavour?) not offensive, at least when the beer is ice cold. Some "freshness" made it quite drinkable with pizza, and if that is your only ambition, it should work well. The beer enthusiast will of course look for more flavourful beers. |

A bit too far out on the sweet side, but not undrinkable. |

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. 8,2% ABV, 28 EBU. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Enormous tan head. Strong aroma of smoked malts, peat, old rope and tar. The flavour has notes of smoked and roasted malts, a touch of peat, with a moderate sweetness to balance. Hints of tar and ashes. There’s just a slight chili burn in the aftertaste. A quite interesting beer! |

3815 | Estrella Damm 0.0% | Spain | Reduced Alcohol | 1.7
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 330 ml can, from my local Rimi store. Pale golden colour, large to moderate white head. The usual n/a beer aroma of over-boiled vegetables, also notes of mown grass left to rot. Thin mouthfeel. The flavour has some weak notes of pilsener malts, and just the slightest hint of citrus, making the beer (nearly) drinkable when ice cold. Wet cardboard and dust in the aftertaste. |

3816 | Dahls Julebrygg | Norway | Vienna / Amber Lager | 3.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 500 ml can, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.5%. Copper coloured beer, moderate off-white head. The aroma has some caramel and toffee. Light bodied. The flavour has caramel (with being overly sweet), a hint of spices and a dusty finish. Drinkable, but not remarkable. |

3817 | BrewDog Christmas Porter | United Kingdom | Porter | 3.3
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 6.2%. "Brewed with cacao, chilli and festive spices." Black colour, large tan head. Moderate aroma of mild coffee, Christmas spices and chilli, hints of chocolate, also some less pleasant sourish notes. The flavour is moderately roasty and sourish with some spicy notes, a slight chilli burn and some metallic hints in the finish and aftertaste. Not BrewDog’s best. Won’t buy again. |

3818 | Saint-Omer 1866 Bière d’Abbaye | France | Strong Lager | 2.9
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6 500 ml can, from Carrefour, Cartagena, Spain. ABV is 6.2%. Deep golden colour, large white head. Strong sweetish and sugary aroma, some caramel, grassy hints. The flavour is fairly sweet, with some caramel, and the beer is not undrinkable - but it has very little to do with an "abbey beer", by any stretch of the mind. |

3819 | Brahma (Holland) | Netherlands | Pale Lager | 1.4
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 330 ml clear bottle, as Brahma Cerveja do Brasil, Rio de Janeiro - Brasil, Premium Lager. Brewed and distributed by InBev UK Ltd., Luton LU1 3LS. ABV is 4.3%. Bought at Carrefour, Cartagena, Spain. Golden colour, moderate white head. Weak grassy and sweetish "industrial" aroma. Thin mouthfeel. Utterly bland and boring flavour, nothing pleasant about it at all. The little flavour there is, is metallic, dusty, cardboardy and "industrial". Stomach-turning and revolting. Drainpour. |

3820 | Aspall Medium Dry Suffolk Cyder | United Kingdom | Cider | 2.7
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330 ml capped bottle, from Bunnpris Gourmet Middelthon. ABV is 4.6%. Extremely pale yellow colour, pours fizzy with a white head that actually lasts a while. Strong aroma of oxidised cider apples, notes of sulphites and oak. Medium dry (or medium sweet, if you like) flavour of cider apples, with some less pleasant sourish and "artificial" notes. Thin mouthfeel. Hints of sulphites and oak. Drinkable, but clearly not Aspall’s best cider. |

3821 | Ægir Ratatosk Double IPA | Norway | Imperial IPA | 3.9
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes sentrum. Brewed in Flåm. ABV is 9.0%. Cloudy brownish-orange colour, large head, slightly off-white. Lovely aroma of American hops, citrussy and piney notes. The flavour is first sweet and malty with fruity notes, then the hops take over with a solid bitterness. For a double IPA, it is not too extreme though. Will buy again. |

3823 | Fejø Cider Demi-sec/halvtør | Denmark | Cider | 2.8
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 375 ml green "champagne" bottle, vintage 2010, from Vinmonopolet. Organic. ABV is 4.7%. A dead insect under the cork, charming ... Yellow colour, slightly hazy, pours very fizzy with a large white head that soon disappears completely. Unfresh aroma of stale cider apples, notes of oak, hints of ammonium and alcohol. The flavour is somewhat better than the aroma, notes of oxidied and stale cider apples and sweet eating apples - drinkable, but not as crisp and fresh as I hoped. Won’t buy again. |

3824 | Egge Gård Liersider Stille | Norway | Cider | 3.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 750 ml clear corked bottle. Bottle No.3685, made of the Aroma apple variety 2010. A little sediment in the bottle. This is supposed to be a still cider, but it pours fizzy with a white head - so they have either mislabelled the bottle, or an unintended secondary fermentation has taken place in the bottle. ABV is 7%. Clear and very pale yellow colour. Moderate carbonation in the mouth. Moderate dryish aroma of apples. Fairly dry and crisp flavour, despite being made of sweet eating apples. Pleasant enough to drink, but no real depth or character. |

Aroma of wood, resin, smoke and ashes, hints of caramel. The flavour has first some malty sweetness with caramel, but ends dry and ashy. Quite moderate resinous hops. Hints of smoke. Drinkable, but not something I’ll buy again. |
