330 ml can, Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 5.5%. Cloudy pale yellow colour, small white head. Distinct and pleasant aroma of apricots, hints of citric hops. Citric mouthfeel and flavour too, slightly sour, again with the expected notes of apricots. A nice refreshment.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Hazy yellow colour, moderate white head. Aroma of yellow stonefruits, hints of pineapple. Citric flavour, hints of yellow stonefruits and tropical fruits. The finish is piney/ resinous and medium bitter. Good beer.

330 ml can, from Joker Vatlandsvåg. ABV is 4.5%. Aroma hop is Citra. Pale golden colour, small white head. Pleasant aroma of lime, hints of mint and mango. The flavour is slightly sweet, with citrussy and slightly spicy and minty notes. Light bodied, but much better than I feared.

330 ml bottle in Heart of Darkness cardboard box, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 13%. Pitch black colour, small to minimal tan head. Boozy aroma of molasses, raw alcohol, oak and rum, also notes of roast malts, coffee, chocolate and nuts. Very moderate carbonation, warming mouthfeel. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, not so much raw alcohol though, more oak and rum, and appears quite well balanced. Moderate hops. Slightly salty aftertaste.

500 ml clear bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.5%. Clear pink colour, pours moderately sparkling, no lasting head. Nice aroma of apples, hints of strawberries and raspberries. Medium sweet flavour, dessert apples and a hint of strawberries.

Slightly warming mouthfeel. The flavour has quite a bit of malty sweetness, notes of caramel, oak, aquavit, dark dried fruits, smoked malts and juniper. Enjoyable.

500 ml can, from Kiwi Tau. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, large white head. Strong perfumed aroma of papaya and guava (no surprise), some notes of artificial candy and blackcurrant leaves. The flavour is slightly citric, but otherwise dominated by papaya and guava. Medium bitter finish. Not too bad.

Sweetish aroma of pilsener malts, newmown grass, flowers and herbs. Fairly crisp and "clean" pilsener flavour, moderate herbal hops.

Clear golden colour, moderate to small white head. Grassy and herbal aroma. Medium dry herbal flavour, notes of "spicy" Belgian ale yeast. Refreshing.

Medium sweet flavour, you sense that there is a decent imperial stout in the background, with some chocolate, unfortunately ruined by cherry essence and almond essence.

Shared 650 ml bottle at local tasting. Black colour, low brown head. Roasty and boozy aroma, notes of molasses, hints of oak. Rich flavour, balanced roasty notes, some molasses sweetness but not too much. Good stuff.

Nice aroma of mildly roasted malts and caramel malts, notes of coffee, caramel, chocolate and vanilla. Silky smooth mouthfeel and flavour, like the name makes you anticipate, The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, with just the right sweetness, and sufficient hops in the finish. Very enjoyable and easy drinking.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo. ABV is 7.8%, OG 1074, 45 IBU. Orange to amber colour, large to moderate white head. Very nice aroma of fresh American hops, notes of tropical fruits, citrus and pine. Hoppy flavour throughout, fruit and pine / resin again, but never too bitter. Some malty sweetness. A well crafted beer, should be palatable for any beer enthusiast.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Orange colour, slightly hazy. White head. Aroma and flavour of juniper twigs and fruity kveik, hints of yellow plums in the flavour. Appears as a very authentic traditional "vossaøl".

440 ml can, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Moderately hazy golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Nice aroma of citric hops, also hints of tropical fruits and sprucetips. Fairly light bodied, but not bad at all for a 4.7% beer. The flavour is not too sweet, and has the same elements as the aroma, with a moderate but well balanced bitterness. Enjoyable, may well buy again.

On tap at Cardinal's Kinn tasting, conducted by Espen Lothe. Hops are Chinook and Simcoe, and a little Amarillo. Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Weak fruity aroma. Smooth fruity flavour with a balanced bitterness.

330 ml bottle, batch #1849, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.5%. Nearly clear pale golden colour, slightly hazy when the yeast is poured in the end, moderate to small white head. Moderate aroma of wheat, coriander seeds and chamomile, only a hint of orange peel. Thin body. Citric flavour, distinct notes of chamomile and orange peel, moderate coriander, minimal hops. Next time, skip the chamomile, and use more curacao orange peel and coriander seeds, please. A little more hops would not hurt.
