2302 | Evil Twin Soft Xmas aka Pretty Please With A Cherry On Top | United States | Fruit Stout | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Dec. 2013: 500 ml bottle, Cardinal’s great Yule beer tasting. ABV is 10.9%. Pitch black colour, moderate to low brown head. Strong aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, mild coffee and sour cherries. The flavour has a distinct sourish fruity acidity from the cherries, also smooth chocolate. Some bitterness and wood in the finish. Maybe not well balanced, but interesting and fun to drink. |

2304 | Evil Twin Yang | United States | Imperial IPA | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 10.0%. Amber colour, large off-white head. Aroma of piney and fruity American hops, notes of orange marmalade. The flavour is medium sweet with loads of American hops, bitter of course, but not quite as extreme as expected. 2305 | Evil Twin Yin | United States | Imperial Stout | 4.1
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 10%. Pitch black colour, impenetrable for light. Moderate brown head. Strong roasty aroma, coffee, liquorice and leather, very good. Very roasty flavour, notes of strong coffee and plenty of liquorice, slightly salty finish. Dark chocolate in the aftertaste. The bitterness is not extreme - but that will change if Yin is mixed with double IPA Yang, as recommended. |

2306 | Exe Valley Devon Glory | United Kingdom | Extra Special Bitter | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Cask conditioned at The Three Judges, Glasgow. Copper coloured beer. Malty and fruity sweetish aroma, notes of red berries. The flavour is also malty sweet and fruity, hints of blackcurrants. Minimal bitterness. A bit too much on the sweet side for me, but not bad. |

2313 | Famille Dupont Cidre Bouché Effervescent Naturel | France | Cider | 3.4
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 750 ml dark green "champagne" bottle, as "Famille E. Dupont Cidre Bouché Effervescent Naturel", vintage 2007. From Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget. ABV is 5%. Bottle conditioned. 80% of the blend comes from the bitter-sweet apple varieties Mettais, Binet Rouge and Frequin, with 20% Judaines and Petit Jaune for acidity. Gushes out of the bottle when the cork is popped, pours very fizzy, moderate carbonation in the glass. Golden colour, white head disappears instantly. Nice aroma of cider apples and sweet eating apples, with a hint of oak. Flavour of moderately oxidised cider apples, medium sweet. Slightly tart finish with hints of oak and sulphites. Easy drinking. |

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 At Copenhagen Beer Festival. ABV was listed as 7.5%. Dark brown colour. Aroma and flavour of coffee, vanilla and cinnamon, well balanced. Very enjoyable - a beer I’d be happy to drink at the Yuletide. Well, at any time of the year, actually. |

2315 | Fanø Lynghvede | Denmark | Spiced Beer | 3.4
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 At Copenhagen Beer Festival. Unfiltered. Brewed with heather flowers, lavender and chamomile flowers. Hazy yellow colour. Moderate aroma of said flowers/herbs. The flavour is very mild, with only a moderate presence of the above. I think I would have skipped the lavender, used more heather, and added a little more hops. Still, it is always nice when brewers dare to use some of the many fine wild growing herbs we have in Scandinavia. |

2323 | Farmageddon Mosaic IPA | United Kingdom | IPA | 3.4
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 440 ml can, from KWM Wines & Spirits. ABV is 6.3%. Moderately gushing can. Slightly hazy golden colour, large white head. Aroma of tropical fruit nectar, hints of citrus, also a weird hint of broth, which seems to be common in beers from Northern Ireland - possibly due to poor water quality? Light bodied for its strength. Refreshing flavour, not very sweet, notes of citrus, hints of tropical fruits, a moderate grapefruity and earthy bitterness in the finish. |

Sweetish aroma, notes of candy, a hint of fruity hops. Soft mouthfeel, drinkable. The flavour has a little malts and very moderate hops in the finish, so you might say it’s "approved".
