July 2013: 500 ml can, a treat from a neighbour. Golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma with some grassy and herbal hops. The flavour is a bit too sweet for a pilsener, but there are still enough hops around to make the beer drinkable.

167 Åbro Original Extra Stark Sweden Strong Lager 1.5

Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2

(500 ml can). Golden pilsener-like colour, low head. Decent fruity and grassy aroma, flavour is blah! - sweet and alcoholic, I can hardly finish the glass. Completely unbalanced. How the heck do Swedish alcoholics manage to drink stuff like this? - other Swedish breweries make similar crap.

Flavour has caramel, spices, oak - but is not quite as complex as I hoped. Still very good - it’s a Trappist! Moderate but decent hops + spices in the finish.
