1501 | Ceres Royal Brown Ale | Denmark | Brown Ale | 3.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 330 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. ABV is 4.6%. Brown colour, big to moderate cream-coloured head. Sweetish malty aroma, notes of toffee, caramel and marmalade. The flavour is moderately malty and nutty with "dusty" notes, hints of caramel and brown bread, but it is not very sweet. Very moderate hops, not much of an aftertaste. Fairly boring, but otherwise not unpleasant to drink. |

1505 | Ceres Royal Red | Denmark | Fruit Beer | 1.8
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 330 ml bottle. Red colour, fizzy beer with a low head that soon vanishes. Very moderate fruity aroma (red berries). Very light bodied, THIN mouthfeel, flavour has some notes of red berries and blackcurrants. Sourish and artifical tasting, weak hops, no malty base. Did I mention THIN? This a poor beer in my book. I drank it cool, not cold, would probably be more refreshing if ice cold - couldn’t possibly have done any harm to the flavour in this case. |

1507 | Ceres Royal Stout | Denmark | Baltic Porter | 4.2
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 The brewery claims this one to be "the best porter in the world". I don't think so - but it sure is a very decent, smooth and rounded Baltic porter. Fairly sweet, but not too much. A beer I always come back to when in Denmark. The best from Ceres / Bryggerigruppen. |

Deep golden to amber colour, large and lingering head. Moderate nutty and grainy aroma. The flavour is sugary sweet with notes of alcohol, molasses and some caramel. Bittersweetish finish. Dry aftertaste. Not really what I want for Christmas. |

1512 | Cerveceria Mexicana Cerveza Potro | Mexico | Porter | 3.5
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml blue "liqueur design" bottle, bought in Edinburgh. "Lote 00148". ABV is 4.7%. Black coloured beer, reddish brown in the highlights. Large to moderate tan head. Unusual aroma with notes of balsamic vinegar, dark fermenting fruits, ensilage, burned rubber and glue, hints of chocolate and liquorice - good and not-so-good at the same time. The flavour is moderately roasty, fruity and acidic with distinct notes of smoke, hints of liquorice. The mouthfeel is a bit thin. Very far from being the best porter in the world, but worth a try. |

1513 | Cerveja Super Bock | Portugal | Pale Lager | 1.6
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 4 330 ml bottle, now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget). Pale golden colour with fluffy white head that doesn’t last very long, some lacing. Grassy sweet aroma with notes of maize/corn and molasses, hints of vomit. Bland flavour, typical industrial adjunct lager, some maize sweetness, low bitterness. I think even Sagres tasted fresher than this one. Not a beer I’ll buy again. If I go to Portugal I’ll probably stick to vinho verde. |

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 330 ml bottle, now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet). ABV is 6.4%. Clear amber colour, large and lasting off-white head. Fruity and flowery hops in the aroma, some sugary notes too. The flavour is malty sweet and sugary, notes of caramel. Low bitterness. I drank the beer at cellar temperature +, it will probably taste better when cold. |

1517 | Cerveza Aguila (Columbia) | Colombia | Pale Lager | 1.5
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 Nov. 2013: 330 ml bottle, from Coop Mega Sola. ABV is 4.0%. Very pale yellow colour, moderate white head of poor retention. Moderate sweetish aroma, notes of grass, maize and artificial candy. Watery and soft mouthfeel. Bland flavour, some slight citric notes, could with some benevolence be called "refreshing", empty finish, minimal hops. We don’t need this. |
