Smooth but rich flavour, notes of roast malts, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, oak. Noticeable bittering hops in the finish. An exquisite beer!

Flavour of citrus and pine, hints of tropical fruits in the background, distinct and quite sharp / medicinal bitterness in the finish.

April 2017: 750 ml green botlle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8%. Barrel aged dark beer, aged for 1 year in a red wine foudre. Black colour, moderate tan head. Strong aroma of red wine, oak, brettanomyces, roast malts. Malty flavour, slight roast, chocolate, lactose, distinct notes of red wine, brettanomyces and oak. Moderate hops. Very good beer.

Piney and resinous bitter flavour, medium dry, also notes of grapefruit. Medicinal in the aftertaste. Not perfectly balanced.

The flavour has also juicy notes of said fruits, with fairly distinct piney notes. The bitterness is noticeable but fairly moderate for an IPA, though.

The flavour is slightly dry, with notes of roast malts and coffee, hints of dark bitter chocolate. Also fairly distinct bittering hops (Target).

Rustic flavour with spicy saison yeast, brettanomyces, oak, moderate lactic acid, hints of lemons. Moderate bitterness. A very good beer!
