Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 August 2014: Shared 500 ml bottle, probably from CITTI-Markt Flensburg. Deep ruby colour, moderate off-white head. Strong aroma of strawberry syrup and strawberry candy, with an initial hint of vomit. Sweet flavour, strawberry syrup and strawberry chewing gum galore, mild roasty notes in the background. Not something I’ll buy again. Ever. |

881 | Berliner Kindl Weisse | Germany | Berliner Weisse | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 330 ml bottle, bought in Bier Spezi Hamburg. ABV is 2.7%. I had no raspberry syrup available, so I drank it straight. Extremely pale straw coloured, nearly clear, just a very slight haziness. Enormous to moderate head. Unusual funky aroma - sea water / seaweed, notes of barnyard, horseblanket and rotting citrus. Very sour / acidic flavour, but not as extreme as I expected. Lemony notes. Light bodied, watery mouthfeel despite the acidity. Refreshing, but I find very little complexity here. Moderate lemony aftertaste. |

883 | Berliner Kindl Weisse Waldmeister | Germany | Berliner Weisse | 2.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 Bottle, kindly shared by abemorsten. ABV is 3.0%. Signal green colour, low white head. Almond essence / marzipan aroma. Sour flavour with strong notes of almond essence / marzipan. Weird. The otherwise refreshing sour flavour does not blend in well with the sweetish marzipan elements. |

885 | Bernard Svìtlý Ležák 11° | Czech Republic | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.0
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 500 ml green bottle, as Bernard Lager, now available in Norway at REMA 1000 stores. ABV is 4.5%. Golden colour, moderate white head of poor retention . Fairly nice aroma of Zatec (Saaz) hops, notes of grass, hints of honey. The flavour is fairly malty for a pilsener, and the hops are slightly better than average. Moderately bitter aftertaste. |

890 | BFM √225 Saison | Switzerland | Saison | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Rerate, 750 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6%, vintage 2016. Cloudy golden colour, large white head. Fresh aroma of lemons and brettanomyces. Lemony sour flavour, also "spicy" brettanomyces notes. I'm upping it a point or two. Original rating: Sample from bottle at Edle Dråper-messen, Stavanger. Pale straw colour, hazy. Lemony aroma and flavour, more sour than any other saison I’ve had. Refreshing? Oh yes. A masterpiece? Hardly ... Worth spending a fair amount of money to buy a 750 ml bottle? It’s up to you, but I doubt I will. |

893 | BFM Abbaye de Saint Bon-Chien 2008 | Switzerland | Wild Ale | 4.0
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9 750 ml bottle, 2008 vintage (assemblage January 2009), bought at Systembolaget, Sweden. Bottle No. 00276. ABV is 11.0%. Sediment in the bottle. Hazy orange-brown colour, moderate to low off-white head. Some of the haziness might be chill haze, I started drinking it too cold. Very nice sourish-fruity aroma with a distinct brettanomyces character. The flavour is distinctly sour but not extreme, very fruity and tart (notes of sour cherries and Bramley apples), hints of oak, with just the right hoppy bitterness in the dry finish. The alcohol is well hidden - if someone had told me that this was a 6% beer, I would gladly believe it. A very fine beer, but it requires that you are into the sour stuff (a "sourhead") to really appreciate it. |

Smooth and fairly sweet flavour, plenty of chocolate / cocoa, mild sweetened coffee, hints of molasses, medium bitter hops in the finish. Quite enjoyable. |
