756 | Beavertown 8 Ball | United Kingdom | Rye Beer | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Rerate, 330 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.2%. Less sharp aroma this time, but pine needle extract dominates. The flavour seems also slightly less sharp, but is hoppy enough. Dry finish. Original rating: Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting. Cloudy orange colour, large head, slightly off-white. Sharp aroma of spruce, pine needle extract and solvent. Sharp hoppy flavour, mellowed by some rye "ripe berries" notes. Not in perfect balance. |

760 | Beavertown Neck Oil | United Kingdom | IPA | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7 Sample on tap at What’s Brewing Beer Festival, Stavanger. Called a "session IPA", ABV 4.3%. Clear pale golden colour, white head. Distinct aroma of fruity hops, tropical fruits galore, esp. mango. Light bodied as expected, but refreshing. The flavour has distinct hops throughout, tropical fruits first, then a solid bitterness. |

762 | Beck's | Germany | Lager | 2.7
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 A commercial but refreshing pilsener - nothing wrong, nothing special. Rerate: Had my first can today (bottles and draught previously). Extremely light coloured, possibly watered down version for Norway? (ABV 4,7%) The one I had on tap in Holland a month ago was very light coloured too. Am I right that the colour was slightly darker a few years ago?? Anyway, it's still a drinkable pils, but not an aroma or flavour that will linger in your memory. |

764 | Beck's Gold | Germany | Pale Lager | 1.4
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 330 ml clear bottle, bought in Germany. Every big German brewery seems to be squandering their reputation these days by making a "Gold" beer - pale tasteless lagers with normal ABV, for people who really don’t like beer, but want the buzz. You think "normal" Becks has too much taste(!)? This one’s for you! Pale golden colour, low head, fizzy. Weak aroma with faint notes of grass. Flavour is boring as hell, but there are at least some hints of dry and dusty hops, so the beer is not COMPLETELY tasteless ... |

765 | Beck's Green Lemon | Germany | Fruit Beer | 2.0
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 3 330 ml clear pale green bottle, a gift from my son Steinar (bought at Bremen Airport). ABV is 2.5%. Crystal clear greenish yellow (or yellowish green) colour, moderate off-white head with a greenish hue. Fruity weak aroma, notes of lime and lemons. The sweetish flavour has notes of lime and sugar, refreshing in its own peculiar way, hardly any bitterness. Blindfolded I would probably not have guessed that this was a beer at all. Not undrinkable though, at least when cold. |

767 | Beer Flag Birra del Famoso | Norway | Bohemian / Czech Pilsener | 3.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml green bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 4.8%. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Fresh grassy and slightly citric and floral aroma. Crisp pilsener flavour (not too sweet) with well balanced herbal and slightly citric notes throughout. A very nice pilsener, no more, no less - and I feel no need to have a shot of Fernet Branca at the side. Might well drink this one again. |

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7 330 ml can, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 4.7%. Moderately hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Distinct aroma of pine and spruce, a hint of grapefruit too. Citric mouthfeel and flavour, with piney and resinous notes throughout, but the bitterness is moderate. More of an American West Coast Pale Ale than anything typical English. Nice beer. |

774 | Beer Here Ammestout | Denmark | Stout | 3.9
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 500 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård. ABV is 6.5%. Black colour, large brown head. Roasty aroma, strong notes of coffee, hints of dark chocolate. The flavour is roasty and medium sweet, strong notes of coffee again. A nice stout, but it would be probably be tasty even without the coffee, which I assume the nursing mother and her baby wouldn’t miss before they go to sleep. |

775 | Beer Here Black Cat | Denmark | American Black Ale | 3.7
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger, ABV is 4.7%. Very dark brown colour, big beige head. Nice aroma of fruity and grape-like Nelson Sauvin hops, some roasty notes too, hints of dark chocolate. Refreshing flavour, mostly due to the hops, but there are also distinct and dry roasty notes, hints of ashes in the finish. A decent enough beer, but I am still not convinced that the recently invented combination of fruity hops and dark roasty beer is the best idea ever. |
