Feb. 2015: 355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.7%. Clear deep golden to amber to orange colour, moderate white head. Pleasant hoppy aroma, but not overwhelming. Hints of orange marmalade. The flavour is surprisingly well balanced and harmonious for something called "HopDevil" - hoppy of course, but no devil is at loose here, rather a benevolent HopAngel. Me like!

Dec. 2018: 355 ml bottle, from Bris ølutsalg, Jørpeland. ABV is 4.7%. Peach to pink colour, small white head. Aroma of lactic acid and sour cherries, hints of sea water. The flavour has distinct lactic acid and sour cherries, but is not too extreme. Hints of salt and coriander seeds. Fairly refreshing.

Nice aroma of floral, grassy and herbal hops, some sweetish malts in the background. Medium sweet and malty flavour, followed by distinct herbal hops. A good pilsener indeed, but some European ones are better.

Fine aroma with the expected roasty notes, coffee, dark chocolate and liquorice, hints of leather, blending in with the fruity notes of West Coast hops. Medium sweet flavour, roasty notes galore, strong coffee, dark bitter chocolate and liquorice, again blending nicely with fruity hops. Bitter finish. A great beer!

Aug. 2016: 355 ml can, BB date 13 days ago. ABV is 6.5%. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Fresh aroma of pine, spruce, citrus and newmown grass. Medium dry and crisp flavour with distinct notes, notes of pine needles, spruce tips and grapefruit. Refreshing.

Bottle, RBESG 2005, Grand Tasting. Reddish brown colour, low head. Malty aroma with notes of rye bread. Malty flavour but relatively light bodied, moderate carbonation, notes of fresh rye bread, quite refreshing.

Forced draught at the GBBF 2008, as Trunk Weisse. ABV was 5.5%. Cloudy golden colour, big head. Typical hefeweizen with notes of cloves and banana both in the aroma and the flavour. Nice.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Haugesund. ABV is 4.8%. Clear deep golden to amber colour, moderate white head. Malty aroma, hints of dark berries and earthy hops. The flavour has some malty sweetness with hints of caramel, a hint of blackcurrants, earthy hops in the finish. True to style.

Shared bottle at local tasting. Black colour, moderate beige head. Dryish roasty aroma, hints of old leather and bacon. Dry and roasty flavour too, notes of bacon and smoke. Did not blow my socks off this one.

500 ml bottle, batch #275, from Helgø Meny Hundvåg. ABV is 4.7%. Deep golden colour, large white head. Pleasant aroma of floral and spicy Saaz hops, hints of caramel and honey. Citric mouthfeel. Flavour of decent hops throughout, on a sufficient malty background. Good bitterness, a hint of resin.

500 ml bottle, as Vinje Hanahomen Pils, from Nærbutikken, Åkrafjordtunet. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy pale golden colour, large white head. Aroma of yeast and pilsener malts, some floral notes. Fizzy and citric mouthfeel. Yeasty flavour with fairly distinct bittering hops in the finish.

Moderate aroma of Belgian ale yeast, mild spices and dried fruits. Only a hint of honey. The flavour has the same elements, not too sweet, quite yeasty.

July 2019: Shared bottle that had been opened a while. Amber colour. Aroma of pine and some fruit. Piney and grapefruity flavour, quite dry. Not really impressive.

500 ml bottle, batch #228, from Nærbutikken, Åkrafjordtunet. ABV is 4.7%. Moderately hazy golden brown colour, moderate white head. Aroma of yeast, malts and red berries. The flavour is definitely too yeasty, tastes like the first time homebrew that the brewer tries to forget. Some malts, but the beer is not sweet. There are some hops too, but they kind of disappear in all the yeastiness.

My rating No. 12000 at RB. 500 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.1%. Pale golden colour, large to moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of various citrus fruits and tropical fruits. Lagerish mouthfeel - no wonder, as this is a lager. Hoppy flavour, notes of grapefruit with a decent bitterness.
